I've considered making or modifying the stock bar to fit around the pan, it seems to be the best place for it. Keeping it in the same place will maintain the spring rates it provides at with the same geometry the factory intended. And it keeps it out of the way of the wheel at full lock as proven by Parts Shop Max's test car:
