      • It seems I'm terrible at making progress over the winter.

I've had a minor setback with the rear wheels due having been 2 inner barrels, turns out it actually is physically impossible if the "gap" is not close to the edges where the tireswalls are mounted. So after having been to 2 tire shops telling me it's not gonna happen as well as me and 2 buddies trying to mount it by hand/crowbars and almost destroying one of my tires in the process, I gave up.

The only solution was to use one of my aftermarket barrels which I have had used before - meaning I'd be going from 12J to 12.5J in the rear. I considered 13J for a minute and mounted a wheel with the barrel I would have to use for that, unfortunately it was touching the toearm already at that point. So, 12.5J rears it is:

I've also tested the fronts already which will be a rather tight fit and the GTR will have to go real low.

Disregard the dirt, it'll get a nice polish and wash soon! I'll be attending Wörthersee this year with it in case anyone's around.

Other news are my fresh set of 285 semi slicks, bout time I had a new set of those.

And test fitted the other BBS set on the S14, it'll be done very soon and will look outrageously awesome, guaranteed.

A little pull here and there (especially the fronts) and turning down the coils will leave this perfect.

                  • More bad news.

Let's start with something positive first. I got my new grippies on and they look awesome, should get some nice pictures with them on the GTR soon.

So I got the 5.5 inch lips sorted and got the tires installed, but sadly it all will not go down the way I would have liked it to. Apart from a minor air leak issue I just can't fit it under the fender without having the car too high or getting an excessive amount of camber which I would have to order more parts or turn tricks for as is.

                    See for yourself.

The poke is just too unreasonable I feel and I've got 2x 5" lips already ordered which should rectify the issue. Unfortunately with work and everything I might not make it with the BBS to the Wörthersee this year.

In other news, we ditched the 180, it was beyond saving obviously, sold the s2k because it went for a relatively high price - and bought the ugliest EG6 in the UNIVERSE. But Y'all know what the 6 stands for.

                    That's right, B16 baby.

                    Go ahead marvel at it.

At this point I could fall into a all-too-common anti-german self-proclaimed "tuner" rage (yes that's what those people call themselves here), and tell you about how ashamed I am for the German car scene, especially the JDM part - and cry over that this is what the Germans took from the F'n'F series... but I won't.

Needless to say all that shit will be sanded down to the metal.

I would tell you this will be our ring racer because that's our current plan, but in all honesty, looking at our terrible car overturn rate: Fuck knows.

                    Stay tuned..

                            • Off-topic a bit, but stuff's movin' along.

Rolled the S14 front fenders and then grabbed the trusty phonebook to widen the fuckers a tiny bit.

Front sits perfectly now, that's gonna be the height for daily use, gonna bring it a tad lower for the show.

Rears still need pulling, all should be done in the coming weeks.

Rebuilding the GTR's wheels once again, but after that I believe it'll be as good as it gets.

                              • The BBS on the S14 fit perfectly! Amazing stuff.

I expect it's been covered before but I'm too lazy to look back :P where do you source your BBS barrels from? I had the opportunity to buy some 5x115 RS a while ago but they were 16" IIRC. I would have wanted to step them up so the lips would have had to have been aftermarket, but I am assuming your lips are all genuine?
