So with the demise of my S14 build, and the sale of my over-ambitious shell-up R32 shell, I was left with some money which I knew I wanted to get another car with. I had the option of saving up and selling everything I had car-related, to fund a four door R34 project, or get a cheap project and put in some work.
After seeing this for sale for a good price, I drove the two hours with a mate to go see it:

The pictures made it look better than it actually was.
My friend and I had a look around it. For it's age it wasn't in too bad-a shape. Some rust in the usual places, but a good sturdy start to say the least.
The car was an MOT failure, meaning it wasn't road worthy. The seller strongly advised that we drive the four hour round trip again to collect the car with a trailer, but we thought not. I had the money burning a hole in my pocket so had to have it. Two hours later and some very tight butt-hole moments, I was home with my new car!
I decided to start hoarding parts for the car to try and get everything done in one go, which has sort of happened. We started taking the car apart last week, or the week before, I don't remember. I have to have the car on the road for September so that I'm not taking up my friend's garage as he has my old S14A shell to go in there and another road going S14A to start working on.
I point out at this point that my friend is the guy doing most of the work, I do smaller less 'responsible' bits as he is a lot ore skilled than I am with a welder, a spanner.. just about any tool to be honest.
We extended my S14 LCAs 25-30mm, so they were super wide!

I managed to get a super bargain on some Parts Shop Max modified front knuckles and five stud front hubs (the car was 4stud front and 5stud rear) so we got that all fitted up with GKTech offset rack spacers, S14 tie rods and R32 Skyline rod ends.
A home-made power brace has also been fitted to the front end.

345s under 17s DO NOT FIT! Not with meisters at least, haha! So R33 GTS-T brakes are now on the front.
Last night we dropped the rear subframe, ready to put my S14 one in. Kaaz 2-way diff equipped, with Solid 15mm raising subframe bushes and Z32 brakes.
All new brake lines are ready to go in, inside the car. The car s sitting upon HSD Monopro-2 coilovers.
I went round to see my mate on Saturday night, I had had a tiring day and was feeling proper shitty.. I soon cheered up however:

Basic list of stuff on/in/to go on/in the car:
- Type X front and rear bumpers with lip and spats
- Koguchi Power =50mm front wings and +75mm rear wings
- 17x9-19 front Work Meisters with 17x9-35 rear Work Meisters
- R33 GTS-T front brakes
- Z32 rear brakes on S14 subframe with all solid raiser bushes and Kaaz 2-way diff
- Bride Low Max II drivers seat on buddy club rails, Bride Low Max recliner for passenger side (no rail yet)
- DB Power ABS Delete kit
- Driftworks flexi brake lines
- Nardi Deep Corn 350mm steering wheel on Driftworks 60mm spacer/snap-off boss
- S15 dashboard to be fitted in the future, doorcards and clocks etc included.
- Fabricage bolt-in dash-dodger cage to be fitted in the future
At the weekend we got the drivers door off as it was very rusty underneath the wing mirror. A new one has gone on, modified to fit some S14 Ganador wing mirrors. The plugs are swapped to fit too, they don't look too bad actually!
Currently the car has a standard CA18 for a heart. This is staying until it goes pop. We're putting some breathing aids on the car, colder plugs but that's all that's planned for this engine, while I build up an RB20 NEO engine to a simple but trusty spec and then drop that in some time next year.
I'll keep this updated regularly as it's going at quite a fast pace. Once it's on the road I'll hopefully paint it and get some Kouki rear lights too as the standard ones look terrible!
Hope you like! Oh and apologies for the bad iphone pictures, I'll take my DSLR over at some point to get some better quality pictures.
