Damn, those clear tails are old school mad tyte JDM.
The crx looks good so far, even with those super meaty tires
Show us more of the GL!
I will, the build has been slow with work and car shows, Haven't had much time to get to her. And the meaty ass tires are for daily driving so my spine doesn't shatter into a million pieces.

Got the turbo off on Sunday, didn't have time to upload pictures until now.
As you can see the turbo was still good, absolutely no oil consumption issues. I don't even know why I took it off...
I'm gonna get a custom downpipe made for it too by the fab guys at work, Look at that fantastic wastegate dump! No wonder these EA82T engine go through Turbos in around 40K miles, There's no boost gauges on them but I feel like boost creep and overboosting is a regular occurrence. I really hope the person at Subaru that designed these engines was fired and violated by their coworkers for this design.
I struggled with this bolt forever, it seems like, because they had a team of contortionists piece this engine together originally. Then decided to place every gasket around it so it could get caked with oil at a seemingly apocalyptic level. This engine is the single reason for rising fuel prices from drinking the world's supply of fossil fuels and wearing it like some sadistic badge of honor.
The near future will entail:
-Downpipe fabbed up at work, here at MAPerformance, then I am going to look into designing a mount for a TMIC.
-Miata rear struts, Ebay coilover sleeves with flipped strut mounts (-3 to -5" drop)
-15x7", 0 Offset Diamond Racing SC Wheels with chrome rims and cherry blossom red (hot pink) faces
-Side exit or Takeyari pipe exhaust
I think the word "designed" is generous for the EA-82T. The EA-82 is a great engine, but as you've discovered, it's pretty clear the turbo was an afterthought of an afterthought.
Glad your turbo turned out to be in good shape. As you've probably discovered, the spare tire area is a perfect spot for a big 'ol TMIC. I know some people have mounted WRX scoops on the EA-82 hood, and it actually can look pretty decent.
Also, have you looked at all at Peugeot wheels? They come in 14s and 15s, and have a wider offset that flushes pretty good with the fenders. I ran 14" bottlecaps and 15" seven-spokes on my Loyales, and the look was very period-correct. They're also 4x140, so they'd save you the job of a lug pattern conversion.
Actually diamond racing makes wheels to order so you can get whatever size you want. I thought about pugs and some redrilled 6x140 off road wheels but if I don't do diamond racing I'm gonna make some adapters on our cnc machine and run some 4x114 techno stars.
I do like wrx scoops but I have never seen a s12 turbo scoop on an ea82 so I kinda wanna try that. Anything can help with this half assed turbo set up. The real bummer is if they just did it right the first time the XT would of out performed everything in the 80s. The turbo in mine moves about 3 mm in either direction. It only gets stopped by the housing.
We are going to start work on the downpipe soon, AND since we're keeping a copy of the design I'm going to see about throwing them on our site for people to buy. But here is the basic jist of the design...
3" stainless steel
Proper wastegate dump tube that falls back into the exhaust path (No more of that blocked off sh*t)
No cat (resonator in place of?)
Stock IHI Subaru turbo flange (should work on WRX/LGT turbos as well)
Stock location O2 Sensor
Ceramic coated

So I've been getting work done on the car, my gf is really the driving force in this with me and she has made an instagram about the Subaru, be sure to follow it @billytheboobaru
Anyway, The downpipe is nearly done, I just gotta do some stuff first before we get it all finished up. I gotta put my old VF7 on because the old one had some profound oiling issues so the seals are kaput.
I also got a BNIB radiator from Metric Auto Parts and a Mishimoto 12" electric fan for it as well at work, this will certainly help the cooling issues this motor has.
My girlfriend and I also have begun reupholstering the interior, I let her pick out the fabric so it looks pretty cool, its this purple paisley fabric so it has kinda this tacky and cool look to it.
I am also working on finding a XT steering wheel and green XT digital dashboard, I might have a lead on a set of fog lights, NOS "TURBO 4WD" stickers and sealed beam headlight housings. This car is going to be a hodgepodge of the best of every year the car was made, stay tuned for more updates!

Hella productive weekend, got my blast horns in, new Loyale bumper, wired everything up, Turbo nearly ready to go in, and going to put on my miata coilovers tomorrow. I'll update with pics during lunch break or when I get home tonight.

Started out removing that old crooked ass bumper that got annihilated by some hipster on a fixie, which I hope annihilated said hipster as well.
Once I yanked it out I found a spare key that popped out from under the headlight, I presume that this hasn't been used since the mid to late 80s.
Got rid of that awful rusted to hell bumper filler piece, which I will be replacing with a rust free one! Then after removing the filler piece of the bumper, I put in my Sickspeed Neochrome Blasthorns, which are just Hella horns basically. These are in Neochrome though which is pretty cool.
Then I finished wiring them up to the stock Horn wiring. Soldered them in, used 12 gauge wire because I didn't want to worry about going too small and smoking the wire.
I also pulled out my AC Condenser that was cracked by said hipster. That will be replaced as well, and worryingly the o-rings on the connectors were pretty nackered as well, I assume some vacuum nipples over the open lines will be sufficient protection from the elements.
Got my Mishimoto 10" Electric fan mounted up to my radiator, forgot to use the mounting tabs because I didn't see them in the box but it seems to be working fine at the moment. Appearently aftermarket radiator caps for STi and WRXs work on this radiator so I will be using one of those, the operating temp on these engines run too damn high!
Got a lot to do still but here is how it sits now, haven't bolted up the bumper but it is mocked up, It is looking better by the day...
