Yes! Another Isuzu haha. I like your intentions so far. Very interested to see yourbuild unfold. Also, check out my pretty extensive build thread. I have relocated the fuel tank amongst other things.

Actually after a little research i think It could be done relatively easily with a heat gun, I could probably get a piece of acrylic sheet for around $50, and smooth over the existing hole, measure and layout the sheet on top of the existing roof, and with some careful clamping and heating form a piece relatively quickly. Then it would just be a matter of cutting out the roof and blacking out the flanges and use some black epoxy to glue it in. hmmm...

hmmm.... I could probably make one of Lexan. I know you can bend it with heat but I would need something a lot bigger than my heat gun. I think there is an option on the new mustangs for a glass roof. looks pretty sweet.

Not much got done today. I made a tuck shrinking tool so I can go ahead and fab up the replacement corner panels on the back of the bed. I figured might as well patch the rust on the bed and get the whole truck one color. Ill post up the process over the weekend. If i have time, I might get started on a roll pan.

heres the tuck tool. simple easy to make tool for shrinking custom panels. i need to make one with a deeper reach too.

Im having trouble with pics tonight, this shithead chewed the usb cord a little so I have had to jiggle it a bit.

Anyways I need Ideas about the sunroof. when I got the truck, the previous owner had spayed Flex-Seal all over it to keep it from leaking. Well that stuff doesnt work at all, so i wiped it all off with mineral spirits and put a new seal in it. the dilemma is it just looks like a shitty cheap sunroof kit(because it is) Do I patch the hole? or is there a better looking kit out there? ive never had a sunroof in anything before and I kinda like it. I just wish it wasnt so generic looking

Thanks! its getting there slowly but surely. the whole build pretty much centers around wheel fitment, so I gotta get at least one wheel and tire for mockup, Sucks though, because even when I do put the 4 link on and drop it, i wont be able to run the new wheels until the fenders are moved out. Oh well, that the process I suppose..

The biggest issue that makes me wanna do bags is that I really want the truck as low as possible. The idea with the bags, is to literally set the fender lips on the edge of the wheels when its aired out. I just think it would look absolutely killer. I cant do that with a static drop though, thats the dilemma.

This truck was really the biggest inspiration

I love it. When I saw it, I said i want that look, but lower. I figure 15's instead of the 16's he ran would bring it down a little more, Being able to lay frame with the fenders sitting on the rims, would just be the bees knees in my mind.

i got some thinking to do, but it looks like I could put together a bag setup for right around the cost of coil-overs.

got a few more pics. Welded up the pass side mirror holes today. Im leaving the drivers side on until I get whatever new mirrors I decide on. Again, my apologies for picture quality

    quick coat of duraglass

the ole Hutchins 4560 makes quick work of it all

lol. shes looking good. for real though, almost all the cab dents have been taken core of, should be able to buzz it all down and get a real coat of primer on it soon,

Thats all I could get done at lunch today. had to get back on this beast.

oh yeah, almost forgot. I picked this up for free. should fit nicely behind the rear end and solve any problems that the stock tank would have caused with the four link

lol. Im still undecided. It will be static for a while at least. I thought coil-overs would be a cheaper route, but looking quickly online, they seem pretty pricey. I work in a shop that does a lot of semis, and I could probably get everything I need for air ride off a totaled truck, other than a compressor and the bags themselves.

Are there any cheaper options as far as coil-overs go? I dont need any high end racing parts. at least not with my big whopping 92 horsepower motor.
