  • e30 retro stance project

At long last I have an e30, iv waited 3 years for my insurance to go down enough that I can afford one, I have a 1991 320 touring which has a fair few little bits that need doing but its a really solid shell which is the main thing I was after, I will get some more pictures to put up soon but iv been mad with qork so just got the one atm, here she is; bella

And so far iv bought some 4x100 to 5x130 adapters

And tonight im collecting these puppies <3

15x7 fronts and 15x10 rear, graku split rims off of a 1980s porsche 911 race car, next thing I have to buy is coilovers, im going to get gaz gold coilovers but I need some advice, how do they fit to the hub? As iv been told theres welding involved but I always thought welding on suspension was a no no due to heat transfer through the oil/gas, does anyone do coilovers with hubs ready fitted?

Also I have a mk1 vauxhall nova saloon that im restoring slowly but surely

    Any opinions welcome, ollie

wheels look good, how thick are those adapters? kw make a set of coilovers for the e30 but can be fairly pricy, its fine to weld these because your not actually welding the shock your welding the strut housing

The adapters are 45mm and 55mm atm but I am getting them machined down, I got them at a very good price so they will still be cheaper doing it this way tham buying them new

The wheels are now home with me and ready for a trial fit as soon as I get a chance, and heres some more pictures of the nova, its a long term project and currently a bare shell awaiting some welding and a full respray in the leaf green, bit for now I want to get the e30 on coilovers and with the wheels fitted in time for players hopefully

And the highlight for me . . .

Yeah I have always wanted an e30 and I travel alot to race meetings all over the country so I wanted something I could sleep in so an e30 touring was the perfect answer, and yeah I cannot wait to get things sorted and trial fit them now, saving for coilovers at the moment and sorting about getting the adapters machined down so hopefully not to long till I get some progress

It was my brothers car before so possibly he put a thread up, and yeah theres no reason why I shouldnt manage it, just needs some hard graft and plenty of money thrown at it
