Well worn Subaru

In January of this year my beloved Z3 got hit during an ice storm by a Hispanic lady and she promptly ran. There was some devastation and a freshly totaled car following. So I bought a new car.

Enter the WRX. Yesterday morning at 2:30 am in the parking lot of the local Waffle House, a truck rammed the ass end of my new car. THEY THEN RAN. Hit her hard enough to almost push it a parking space over. Got the surveillance video. Hope to catch the bastard.

The damage at most seemed minimal till i took the bumper of to see the crumpled wreckage.

In the mean time, I leave you with my second hit-and-run incident in 6 months.

Also the problem: the damn trunk floor got SCREWED. The rear bumper carrier is toast along with a handle full of clips, retainers, tailight and the mount, bent rear quarter, cracked paint, bulging trunk, etc.

Im no expert on crashes or estimates but considering what minor damage occurred to the Z and they totaled it in a heartbeat, im leaning towards another salvage title.

Not a big update. Still horse assin about with insurance company and blah blah blah.
Also, police couldn't determine a tag number for the dastardly motherf***er that hit me

Anyways, found a fix for foggy headlights I hadnt thought of, and really should have long ago.

This was pre treatment.



Really wasnt too too bad. Yet very very annoying. I then remember in a fit that i had this stuff:



This stuff made by Hut and is what you use with acrylics when you turn them on a lathe like you would laquer or wax with wood. Shines the plastic up brilliantly. Was in the workshop, saw it on the shelf re read the label, then took a huge mental shit.

Buffed the Christ out of the headlights with a power drill and orbital buffing pad and
BLADAMNN



Fixed it up right good.

Thats all.

How do you break:
Clutch fork
Clutch pack
Slave cylinder
TOB

And scour:
Flywheel
Output shaft

...all at the same time?

Cause that happened. Ive been without the blubaru for sooo very long.
Help.
Im having withdrawals.

The clutch did indeed explode. Even took some nice chunks out of the bell housing with various bits or shrapnel.

I have the worst f***in luck with cars.

I get her back tomorrow. $2k later.
THEN... Adapters, blast pipes and various other little parts get installed to take the sting out of this whole thing. Not much consolation but it will have to do.
