Sorry guys. Don't check this forum nearly enough anymore. I should drop by more often.
Thanks for the compliments!
Yeah, I have a wheel problem. lol
A bit livelier, but nothing particularly crazy. Not sure if I'd call it fast, but for something that gets great gas mileage, I'm happy.
Cruze coilovers required some modification. Front lower strut holes had to be slotted slightly, and rear lower shock hole needs some sort of gap filler: the Sonic bolt is 2mm smaller than the Cruze one.
In other news, threw my side skirts on since the last post i guess. lol

Do the cruze coilovers bolt right in? I'm buying a 12 Sonic today and need to find something to drop it with!

I have always thought these cars looked cool from a purely aesthetic stand point and seeing one nicely introduced to the pavement only makes it look better. Is the engine at least a little more lively with what you've done to it?

I believe he is correct, it is the gamma II and is developed with Opel and Holden input but is not an Opel chassis.

Actually, this car is based on Opel's platform, and is NOT the same as the one Cruze uses, which is also made by "some random Opel"... Do more research next time...
Car looks good tho,
and the rear is held by shocks that high (get shorter ones), which is the same reason "some random Opel Corsa's" can't be easily lowered in the rear since 1980's...

I suppose I should update this.
Decided to go air and figured out how to get the car lower. lol
Pieced together a manual kit from a bunch of random universal parts.
Still working on putting everything together. Warranty work (or lack of) and school have been keeping me from making any progress since going back to stock.
Also got a lip kit + a Subaru splitter and Mazda 3 side skirt extensions. We'll see how that goes... lol
Also went through several different wheels:
SSR SP3 18x8.5 +63/18x9.5 +44 : (Currently for sale)
E38 BBS Style 5's 16x8 +23: (Sold)
Chevlon Racing Wheels 17x7 +40: (Sold)
Work VS-XX 18x8 +50/18x9 +50: (Sold)
Enkei NT03+M 18x9.5 +40: (Currently for sale)
(was to lazy to play with rear camber on these because they didn't clear the stock studs on my adapters)
Finally settled on another set of Work VSXX's. (This time, 18x7 +50):
Came with Work Elbe centercaps for some odd reason... Weird. lol
Had them redrilled from 5x100 to 5x105.
Currently rebuilding them. Debating on whether to go with a 3" lip (18x9 +26) or attempt to squeeze that extra .5" of lip. (18x9.5 +20)
Also planning on shaving the outer holes down so that I can sandwich mount them as pictured so that'll probably lower the offset a few mm as well...
Don't really want to pull my fenders at the moment though.
Hopefully I'll be able to get the ball rolling more quickly once I get some stuff fixed. Car's been a bit wonky lately. :/

So far, it seems like only 1 coilover is seized, so that's good.
Hopefully, a nice bath in PB Blaster will help... lol
Anywho, here's my for sale thread for the wheels. haha
Aiming for something a tad less aggressive so that I won't have to have too much negative camber to tuck, but we shall see.
