Have you considered going full white on the wheels, it will make them look an inch bigger.

I did it to mine, everybody thinks its a 19" set.

I know im in the other camp of big wheels but I feel like if i got different tires and more low my 17x8 style 42's would look pretty nice on my car, what you've done is proof of it

4x4 status before I actually lowered it significantly but you can see the potential that im talking about

imgur is the shit. I've got the app on my android phone, I just take a picture and hit the button to upload it and type the url in here. You don't even need an account its whats up.
