      • This is so good, a lot of this is what I want for my E12. Period correct, not super low, bumperless, with lots of little goodies. I want an '02 so bad.

        • Well first part of my dual carb set up came in today (carbs should be here tomorrow). Started clean up but need to do a little more work on them.

I wouldn't, Carbs have been a whole new experience for me as well. I came from modding Hondas and fuel injected bmw's.

                • I love seeing builds like this . Building / rebuilding an older car and taking small details and making your car YOURS is what truly makes the car your creation . One of the reasons I love SW so much is because I feel there is a lot of guys like yourself who actually put thought into a car rather than clone their car after someone else. Keep it up man , Im loving this so much ! I love those visors the most
On a side note , fuck Bav auto . You aren't the first person Ive heard have issues . I myself have had issues, including ordering shit they said was in stock , paying for 1 day shipping & then seeing after the part has been ordered that they are 1-2 weeks out because of special order. Not one place do they state that . I highly recommend FCP Euro & Pelican Parts. I use Pelican parts for 99% of my parts. Never had one issue , Always get my stuff on time and even got a phone call from them saying a package was delayed due to holiday.

Enough of my rant lol . Again , love your car man

Yeah after that experience I primarily go through CATuned, they are able to get all parts as well even when they aren't on the site. I just give them a part number and they can find it. Plus they are big on quality with their own builds so I know they won't be sending me junk. Also thanks for the kind words, I also enjoy SW for the same reason, if you are going to build do what you want instead of following what everyone else is doing. Thats one reason I'll never have turbo flairs on this car haha.

                    • Well I was traveling all week for work but came home to a package... Weber 40's made in Italy. They'll need a full rebuild and I'm changing the stacks as I'm not a fan of the plastic ones

                        Love the details!!

                        Build thread?

                        • Well update time, after chatting with my dad and also Igor over at CA Tuned, I'm thinking about a swap... so the M10 has been put on hold and the carbs are going up for sale since it will be awhile before I do a build because even if I stay with the m10 I'll be doing a 5 speed swap and lsd at the same time.

With that being said though lol, I have decided to do a full exhaust on the car, even if I do a build next winter I'll have some fun for a year lol. Have a header, intermediate pipe and sport exhaust on the way, now I'll just be waiting since I'm sure Christmas will slow them down.

Also when I got the car back it came with the stock wheel and knob... so I'm back on the hunt, found a wheel today and now to decide on a knob. Also the car will be getting another color change in early spring... just in time for the 15hr drive for sowo.

                          • You should get a Renown wheel

What swap are you planning on?

Not sure on the swap yet, and I considered a Renown but the biggest they have is 350mm which is too small imo for a 02 with no power steering. After having a monster stock wheel I fell in love with how easy it was to turn. I have a Nardi on the way that is 14.3 inch which was bigger than my Momo, now to find a hub that isn't 100 bucks lol
