So clean en all the details, i love it!
Only thing i don`t like is the exhaust, it looked much better with the 16v Muffler.

Maybe. We will see. Wouldn't mind getting some bmw ones redrilled that have 2 and 2.5 inch dishes. All expensive options though.

DIsh is always good, my friend has quite a lip on his RS's and it looks awesome.

Spent all day basically cleaning the car today. Very happy with the results though. Gave the interior another wet vax treatment as the recaros were looking a bit dirty.
And I got my RS's fitted
Didnt wind the coilovers down as much as last year. Only went down about 20mm. Maybe will still be able to drive it properly now. And be a bit more comfortable than last year too.

I tried one of the rear wheels on the front while I was at it. Because I thinking about getting some 1.5 inch dishes for the rears and swapping the 1 inch ones to the front wheels. I would probably take the extra width off of the adaptors to keep the same fitment though.

Or maybe get some 1 inch for the front and have them all round? Hmmm

I will probably have a lot of photos for you lot tomorrow. Going to castle combe spring action day. Will see you there if you are going.

Immaculate Mark II example! This model Golf still rocks the best for me.

Nothing out of the box, but subbed to see if you would in time.

Went and picked up some Audi 80 electric window mechs to replace my motors. They aren't the same regulators but the motors are the same so I swapped the motors onto the mk2 regulators.

    Audi regulators

    Comparison. Mk2 left, Audi right

Swapped, And now I just realised i put the cable in the wrong outlet. Will have to change that tomorrow.

Had to swap the electrical connector over

Also the butyl tape stuff I used to do the vapour barrier is great. Why would anyone use silicon?

Managed to get the drivers side in before it went dark. And I thought I would shoot some waxoyl in there while I had the vapour barrier back off.
Going to go buy some yacht varnish and do the back of the door cards tomorrow too, before they go back on.
The vinyl part at the top had peeled off with taking the door card on and off a few times this week so out came the glue and pegs lol

Went outside this morning just to have a look to see how I was going to get the air con condenser out. I thought I will just take the grill off to have a better look. Then I ended up taking apart the front end and changing it while waiting for my brother to come round. lol. I love doing things like this while waiting on people. And then using it against them. lol

I'm not sure if I just want to change it for the sake of changing it. Obviously I still like the polished. But I do like the black too.

Thanks. I will take them to a vinyl wrapping place tomorrow and see if they can do them. If not I will buy some more caps to do it to.

I think the black caps look great. Really plays off of the black body trim and the red gti badges on the side.
