Thanks man! Nah it's a Momo team wheel. Can't beat driving a nice mk2!

Although I have a few battle scars from driving a lot the week before last. Somehow managed to rip the wiring off of my fog light. And i think i need a new clip for my bonnet stay. It keeps jumping out and making an awful rattling noise where its bouncing on the alternator. And it is absolutely filthy. Only just got back from Italy the day before last and haven't had a chance to give it some love yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

What a nice car you have there, keep up the good work!
That steering wheel is a MOMO Italy right ?
Driving MK2's never gets bored, i own a MK2 G60 and i love it everyday more and more.

Monza is my fave mk2 colour, saw this at KK too. Loved your car and the black clio 16v on ITBs parked behind you

Yeah it wont be happening to this now. Don't worry. Mind made up. Will have to buy an 8v or something in the future to do it to. Strip it out and stuff. Had the urge to drive a striped out mk2 the other day when i was driving with all the interior out.

    yes.

But if you gotta, I think this golf is too original, too much of a preserved artifact lol

Haven't had a single person tell me to do it on all the forums i post on. So its staying for sure. The answer I wanted I think.

I think you should keep it as it is. I love doing engine swaps and stuff but someone needs to keep these original and I think yours is the perfect one to do so.

That seems to be the answer I'm getting from most people. Which I'm glad about. The 16v is still cool as I suspected. lol. But now I've been thinking about it. I want to know how to do it. Might put it in my MK2 jetta instead. Not sure.

Would be a great project to undertake but I think the car is perfect as it is now - honestly.

    Hmmmmm

I like the idea of a 20vt conversion. But I like the 16v noise and how the engine bay looks. I don't know. Would just use original management. Cant be that hard. There is just one loom for the engine on the passat and that plugs into the ECU and then plugs into the dash loom. Just would need to find data on what wire does what. Most of them are probably for all the data lines to the air con unit. As you can put that in a mode to get engine sensor readings. Anyone got some good info threads for the wiring? I think the passat wiring is different to the mk4 golfs and a3s for some reason.
