First of, this thing is amazing!! Second, how the F did you manage to cut and weld those wheels, without them being completly fucked balance wise?

                    Hey everyone.
                    Got some pics for you.
I forgot to post these before, but they were kinda work in progress things at the time, but theyre done now.
After i got the car looking and driving good, i relized it was pretty effin slow, and being an 88 it has a "skinny rod" motor, basically the rods are 8mm thick as opposed to the 13mm rods that came in the 90+ bricks.
I swore i wouldnt start messing with the boost until i got a boost gauge to keep an eye on things. I scored an Autometer BAR boost gauge for 20 bucks from a friends wrecked WRX.
some chopping, cutting, and grinding later (with some left over street sign)

I was happy with the install, and now was ready to crank up the boost.
A simple "T" fitting in between the compressor and wastegate equalled out to 12psi. about max for a skinny motor. it is FAST. suprises alot of people.
After being under the hood yanking out the air con, smog pump, cruise, and all that other luxury bs, i realized the motor was filthy, caked in years of grime and oil leaks.
I picked up a spare valve cover at the scrap yard for 5 bucks, sandblasted, polished and painted it.

Quick trip to the parts store for a VC gasket and it was on. And a custom coil cover

While i was at the junkyard, (I go often) i was wandering thru Volvo land, and stumbled across something un-expected. my old 91 745 wagon.
I looked it over, wondering why it was there. sat in it and made vroomy noises lol. Then i was like "Wait a minute! i had 32mm IPD sway bars in this thing!"
Sure enough they were still there, burried in the ground. but i got em!
It always sucks paying for things twice, but at 30 bucks i couldnt complain.
quick coat of magnet paint later, and a call to IPD, I had a brand new front bar, poly mounts and solid endlinks:

                    1/2 hour later

To answer a few questions about the wheels.
After i cut the 4 welds out, it took a good hour of hammering the backside lip of the faces for them to come out. It was a pain in the ass, and i would not want to do it again.
getting them back together wasnt bad, basically put the face in backwards and hammer away, then i took a flat bar and a ruler, measured from the rear inside lip to the outtermost lip on the barrel, made sure it was the same number all the way around left them like that until i got to the welding shop.
We threw them on the tire balancer and my buddy goes "wow, those are straighter than most factory wheels ive seen!"
Only one of them need a slight tap in the right direction. all were true, in round, and straight. I didnt expect that.
I have a local car show coming up tomorrow, so i cleaned up the car at work today. snapped some pics:

The future of the brick is wide open. Lately ive been deepy considering trying to do an air ride setup on the cheap.
                    Stay tuned!

I have a picture saved of your hood. I had no idea it was your car. I've often joked about getting that tattooed on my side lol.
