So, ive made up my mind on what wheels I'm getting for this car. I had been looking into getting some aggressive 17" used Works, but tbh I just dont have the cash for that at the moment. I've decided to order another set of Centerline REV's to match the FC. They gave me a really good price as a partial sponsorship so i cant really pass that up a second time around. Fully forged 3pc welded, very strong and pretty light. This way these wheels can double as spares for the FC too.

Since the FC uses 5x120 rear lug pattern I've already thought ahead and chose my specs to work with this obstacle. I decided to go 1/2" more backspacing on the fronts and 1" more backspacing on the rears to accomodate a 1" adapter and have a similar outer spec

    Current FC Specs:
    Front: 17x9.5 -19 235/40 4" lip 4" BS
    Rear: 18x11 -25 265/35 5.5" lip 4.5" BS

    Specs for the s13:
    Front: 18x9.5 -6 225/35 3.5" lip 4.5" BS
    Rear: 18x11 +0 235/40 4.5" lip 5.5" BS

For the rears, I can run slip on spacers to fit the fenders, and remove/add to accomodate different tires/sizes. Ultimately I'd like to run ~15mm worth of spacers with extended arp lug studs

For the rear I plan on running a 235/40 18 because
    1. this isnt going to be a competition car so I dont need a ton of grip
    2. 235/40s are cheap
    3. I dont want to put a ton of excess load on the stock small diff/axles/cv's
    4. The car doesnt have a ton of power to require a big tire
    5. The rear subframe has been raised to aid in forward bite combatting my low ride height
    ex.

I want to go with 18's up front for several reasons:
    1. I dislike 17/18 stagger on s13's
    2. 18" will require a less negative offset to clear the inner suspension, and with the -6 offset I can run a 5mm slip on spacer to clear the z32 calipers
    3. I wanted a 225 front tire which isnt available unless i go to a 45 series sidewall on 17s
    4. 18" front will look lower

I plan on running a 225/35 Federal 595SS or 225/35 Falken FK452 up front. Good stretch but nothing too crazy...

Did some work to the FC just trying to make it cleaner and more presentable throughout. First i started in the engine bay...

Cleaned everything really well with ZEP Trifoam cleaner and then decided to tackle getting rid of the hideous purple..

Got some new oem valve covers and sprayed them with VHT Crinkle coat black..

    Before and after

Tried stripping the manifold but the finish looked bad so I also sprayed that with the same stuff..

Finished product thus far, so much better imo..

Swapped out shifters from the stock old one to the one that came from my rx7, made a huge difference in how smooth it shifts

Traced the brake lines and downloaded a plumbing diagram from CNC's website. Why does it ont surprise me that the previous owner had it plumbed backwards. At least that explains why i had no rear brakes and they wouldnt bleed properly. I got the ebrake mounted very firmly o the tunnel using 1/4-20 buttonheads into steel press-in nutserts in the chassis. cut a slit in the center console to allow the ebrake handle to pass through. I also mad a new switch panel that looks much better and fits in the stock dash perfectly.

Tried getting the car ready for an event last weekend. Threw the FC front wheels on

And borrowed a pair of 17x10 rpf1's for the rear. Needs a pull...

    Untitled by DriftBuild, on Flickr

Tried to roll them myself, got impatient and ended up buckling the LR

    Looks fuckin cool tho

Needless to say didnt make the practice due to many reasons

I went as a spectator and towards the end of the day my buddy Mikey was making a run and his car caught on fire. Fire crew took way way too long to get to him and this was the result, so sad..

Wrapped up the day with some Bdubbs

(to check his work, I took the car to my schools shop)
I use a caster/camber gauge, string, and toe plates
