Hi, my name is Mike Khayat, and this is my ongoing e30 project. i got the inspiration from my dad who is a BMW enthusiast himself which was pretty much rubbed off on me, hes owned a countless amount of them and would always tell me that the old bmws were the best bmws ever built, well he was right because i never bought anything past 1991 after this....Enjoy.

What rear bumper cover is that? I am looking for something like that for my '86.
Can you post some more pictures showing the back of the car? A rear 3/4 shot would be great if you know what I mean.

so i haven't been on here for a long time but i decided to update my build thread since so much has changed in the past year and a half. here is a picture of the car about 2 years ago right before i crashed it.



then the worst day ever :/



so i started stripping everything immediately and started my hunt for parts.



got some grills



depot smileys




steering wheel and short hub




and the great euro plate




then i started putting the car back together










no hood ftw!




oh an i also bought a miata as a daily in the mean time until the e30 was back on the road which took a few months because i lag on everything



then the finished result....the queen!

hen i decided that i wanted to change up my wheels i was over the xxrs, i wanted something new, something real... so a buddy of mines was putting these vintage risen mesh wheels up for sale an i revolved my whole 5lug swap around these wheels!




then i picked up ground control coil over sleeves for an e36 m3 and koni rear m3 shocks




after that i hit the yard for a set of strut housings for the front coilovers







then i stumbled upon an e28 is rear spoiler that i had to have, only problem was that it was in fairfield ca, and i was down is san diego....luckly I'm from vallejo and my parents happened to be up in vallejo visiting my grandparents that weekend so i had my dad snag it for me. 80$ from an old man on craigslist! i was so hyped!

went an bought corrado koni front inserts which were customly fabled to work on the e36 housings




also picked up the rear trailing arms off an 318ti from malibu with a good friend of mines.

recently moved into a house with 3 other room mates in december of 2013 and since then I've had her on jack stands. out with the old and in with the new!




also bought this sweet turbo kit and a rebuilt motor...




then i started taking apart the old suspension to put in the 5 lug goodies




all the goods!!








traded the xxrs for a set of style 5s to throw on my e28 daily hehe



i was also blessed in december of 2013 when i got a job at Bmw of Vista! literally on the same street as my new house!
