(apologies if the pics aren't great quality)
So this has happened over the weekend...
I finally finished cutting my roof racks down and added wooden slats
And then a good friend of mine from Team floG Motorsport helped replace my passenger driveshaft which had the blown CV joint on it. As well as replacing that, we changed my bonnet, now baby blue and not flat grey, added the eyelid piece, changed a cracked headlight, replaced exhaust rubbers, wound the front coils down to match the rears and I started addding woodgrain vinyl accents in the dash
Stay tuned!

Have some more photos
Here's the gearstick I made, ~400mm long with a proper 8 ball atop.
Why? Because fuck you and I like it ☺
My shitty rims after I put some elbow grease into them. Starting to look kinda okay I guess.....

Scored myself some free shit
Caught up with a bloke in Adelaide who's owned around 12 Mk1s, who's building a crazy Mk1 racecar, along with owning a beat-up ratty Mk1 that he takes to shows. Got a bit for under the steering column to tidy up my wiring, along with one of these eyelid things:
mine will be flat black to match the grille. He also has like 10 sets of side trims so a set will be gracing my Golf soon
Off topic, this is my mate's VP Calais. Family owned from new, tidy as sin, low with flappers and polished factory alloys. Thought you guys might enjoy thisrandomly found the photo in my Photobucket album

As for the wheels, I'm halfhearted either way. They look scruffy as hell in the flesh even with a clean but painting them means effort. Ehhhh
