guess I should have seen that coming haha. Honestly, im still probably going to dip it. But after that, pretty much all funds are on hold for new wheels or suspension. Whichever I come accross first. the rest of the work I have to do right now is just tuning and moving around of spacers.

You can always buy three-piece wheels and make them to whatever specs float your boat.

          • If you want some good, new, real, wide wheels on the cheap(comparatively speaking), look at fn01rc's.

They have 17x10's that cost about $330 each and only weigh 21 lbs.

The lowest offset is something around 10-12 ish or something like that. I saw a set on an impreza a few months ago and it looked so sick.

Now post some updates for us so it doesn't look like a big discussion.

I would keep it as classy as possible though down the road. Do whatever you want to your xxr's though.

nope! theirs a bit of curb rash on a couple. so a silver rash on a black wheel sticks out like black man in china.

Yeah im leaning toward three piece. Do all barrels, plates, lips come with the same bolt pattern on the outside? Cuz that would be sick to build a custom wheel set up from all diff types. Plus having lots of options would be sick.

                • Alright this may make me sound like an idiot, but bare with me, Im new to suspension. Is it ok to drive without endlinks? After taking a look at my suspension, the collar that attaches the endlink to the shock is almost 2 in! if I could pop that sucker out or maybe find a smaller collar, I could go mooaaarrr low in the front, with the spacers of course. Ive heard that it will sacrifice performance. I dont really care about performance. I want to know if its SAFE.

                  • It's sort of safe. As in, if you're going in a straight line. You will definitely notice the difference and your car will probably rock like a boat. But nothing will break and the wheels will stay on the car. So yeah. I guess it's safe.

You can't just take the end links out though. You either need to tie the bar up and out of the way once they are off or just remove the entire sway bar.

It is not uncommon to remove the sway bars on drag cars to reduce weight. I personally would not do this though. Just a preference thing I guess.

I see. If it makes it rock like a boat, would that affect my tire wear? Also, my car is a dd that does go over dips and bumps. Any forseen problems there? Thanks!

I've been running without my front sway bar for 2 years with no issues. There are a lot of VW guys who also take them off.

I had to get rid of mine due to some binding issues.

It's perfectly safe. (In my mind, like I said, 2 years, 0 issues.)

An anti-swaybar is just that, it prevents excessive dive when cornering. Since the OP is already on coils, which I would imagine have stiffer spring rated than stock, he can get away without running a swaybar. The stiffer springs will counteract removing the bar.

I am running an upgraded swaybar in the rear (23 mm vs. the stock 14 mm bar) and I'd like to think my car handles pretty well.

                        • Get rid of those stickers on the left side of your back. Get the car a bit more tidy.
I would definitely dig pink. Pink on white (or vice versa) ROCKS!

But even then, there's too much black on your car which makes it "unclean" again.

Pink is what I'm leaning towards as well! But I'm keeping the stickers. I like em

                              • I've heard of alot of people with different cars taking the sway bars off.
Like, I have a W114 Mercedes and the front and rears are coming off to get low as suggested by Mushroom_Toy with the Red W115 (Elvis) so ya id say its safe

I like the idea of pink too for some ungodly reason, but im just a stupid teenager like you as well
