Actually, I wouldn't. But it would be annoying. I did the same dumb things you are trying to do.

Your biggest mistake is asking people what they think of your ideas. Your ideas would be less dumb if you just did them, without asking for approval. I feel as if you are worried that if you modify your vehicle in the "wrong way", that you may be judged negatively.

And if you are worried about what others think (within reason), you should not modify cars ever.

There was no intention to "over react". I was simply making my point via a kind-hearted dinosaur joke. I would never judge someone for their wheel selection or their modification path. I simply wanted to propose an alternate path for your consideration. It's not always about getting people's attention.

Point being- you're going for attention, but from the wrong crowd. Will highschool girls and teenagers with Monster shirts swoon? Absolutely. Will guys who drive said overplayed sports cars appreciate what you've done? Not even close. There's a large difference between "infamous" and "famous".

Theres lots of things people do here that make their cars stand out. Going with green wheels is quite shy of a drastic mod. I understand I shouldnt make my tail lights green or side mirrors etc. Its simplly the color of the wheels.and the great part is, I can do it for 25$ and if it looks gay, i can easily peel it off with just a small chunk of change.

even though its backhanded advice, good read. I still think im planning on the green though. I like the black green white thing ken blocks fiesta has. Neon green is probably the wrong name for the color. its like a lime green

Catching attention isn't always good attention. There's a civic in my area with mismatched panels, no exhaust, a wing, fake race buckets, and duct tape. If it parked beside a Lamborghini I would talk about it as well.

My advise, keep it classy. Do what you like, not what grabs other peoples attention.If you want the pink wheels, go for it. But if your just doing it for attention go with the Dino's as well. Also you will never get as much attention as this celica

If that's the logic you want to use to decide future mods, your best bet is to paint some giant dinosaurs down each side of your car....preferably in bright neon colors. That should have everyone looking at you and talking about your car. For added effect, consider adding party hats to each dinosaur or using glow-in-the-dark paint.

Alternate method of modifying cars: Instead of simply trying to grab people's attention, why not seek to IMPRESS people instead. It's easy to grab someone's attention.....it's much more difficult and much more respectable to impress others with quality work, noteworthy style, or unique expressions. I'd much rather build a car that left people in awe than to build a car that caught people's attention simply because the wheels were an odd color.

It's your car though. It's a form of your own self expression. Do what speaks to your heart.

I do want my rims to be a crazy color. pink wasnt necessarily a real suggestion. it was more of a halfassed joke (although if dipyourcar had a pink in a can, id probably consider it haha. ufortunately youd have to mix colors to get it).
