Hey there everyone.
I'm new to S|W and a few people have told me I should finally start a build thread for my 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT.
Build Plans:
I bought the car as the third owner. The first owner was my aunt who bought it new, then sold it to my uncle when he was in HS, and then I bought it off of him when I was about to graduate high school.

When I bought the car, it ran fine. Mind you it was automatic, FWD and N/A, but it was a good looking car. The first thing I did was clean up the wheels by spraying them white.

The day after I painted the wheels was when the trouble began. I was driving one day and the car shut off. Turns out it blew the engine fuse. I swapped it out and thought it was no big deal. Then it happened again...and again...and again.

The car went from shop to shop trying to figure out the issue and it was unresolved. I brought the car to Ground Zero Performance and Hans replaced a few things and the car was once again running.
Megan Racing Coilovers and 17x9/17x10.5 Cobra R wheels came next. The wheels had 215/45 and 245/45's stretched on to give it a nice fitment, but 17's were too small for these cars.

After running great for about a year, the shorting issues began again...
So at this point, I decided to give up and convert the car to Twin Turbo, 5 Speed, and AWD...one of the original plans for the car when I bought it.
I've never owned a vehicle that fit into the norm of things, and being into drifting, I then decided to create the first Drift-Spec 3000GT in the U.S. A RWD conversion was now in the cars future.
I planned on purchasing a JDM clip after graduating college in 2014:

However, I managed to find a TT Stealth that popped up in a local junkyard...a very rare find. When checking out the car, I found that the motor was good and intact, but the trans was in a million pieces. After 3 hours and some help from some friends, we had the motor, transfer case, harness, ECU, door panels, and stock radio loaded up for $280...a crazy steal that I still cant get over!
Knowing that I had to then kick it in gear, I took advantage of my winter break and shaved and painted my engine bay. Not bad for rattle can!

An annual BBQ in January was the deadline for the bay. I threw on a buddys Y2K Cobra wheels and towed it over!

For my BDay, my girlfriend grabbed me this pearl Grip Royal Wheel which looks awesome in the car! Perfect match!

And then now its time to start with the motor...

UPDATE - 5/8/13
I picked up a Walbro 255 today off a friend so that it can handle the power!

Next I will be returning to the parts car to get all the stuff for the manual conversion and the rear subframe/diff/driveshaft to convert the chassis to AWD to then convert to RWD.
