IMO if you can keep the daily while you work on this you'll be in much better shape. Also 177k wouldn't scare me. I just bought a car with 185k on it and it runs fantastic.

Like everyone else has said, it looks to be a pretty clean start. But, considering I don't know what your daily is now I can't really give you advice on if I would be a good trade or not.
If I had 8-10k to drop into my build I would be golden! But its really more about personal preference here.
Keep searching Google. Its an amazing machine

If I had an 8-10k budget to work with, I would find something that cost a little more, but wouldn't take as much money thrown on top to make into something fun. If you look at this either way, its an 80's econo shit box not meant for going low, fast or doing anything really fun other than driving to work and school. Thats what I've learned over the years of wasting my money on Neons and such.

Don't over think it, personally I wouldn't throw all my eggs in a 25 year old FWD basket with 177,000 miles. Like stated above, with your budget, look for something with more potential. The old 1980s 200sx's look very similar to the ae92 but they are like a billion times more cool.
1. HATCHBACK!!!
2. They can be SR swapped for cheap
3. They are RWD
