yeah... definitely not. Too much to do to feel comfortable with driving it 6hrs each way. I could probably pull a couple all nighters and get it to the point where it could make it down, but I'd rather not risk half assing anything.
I'll be starting on re-assembly pretty hard once I get back from SoWo. For the time being I'm giving my Golf an oil change, a full detail, then driving it down for the 5th year in a row.
Car won't be at sowo. Extremely livid at this point. Shop has had my car since February 25th, and the original turnaround was 2 weeks. Two and a half months was just a little too hard of a deadline I guess...
Wow that sucks dude, I'd bug the shit out of them until they get my shit done. 2 1/2 months is too damn long.

Well... I typed out a big update, hit submit, and S/W decided to not work for about 10 minutes. Here we go (again)
Car should be back today, but I'm sure it will end up being tomorrow. It's been blocked/primed and blocked/primed some more. Once it comes back the goal is to have all glass and panels back on within a day or two.
Stayed up all night working on the wheels. Prepped and painted the faces. Remember kids, don't paint your mounting surfaces The Eastwood Vintage Wheel paint worked great. Went on easily, evenly, and seems durable. I would recommend it to anyone doing a budget wheel rebuild.

As you can see above I'm still missing a waffle and hex caps. However the mailman just dropped off this care package from MemoryFab. They really came through in a pinch by supplying the last pieces I needed to finish these wheels. Ordered one waffle, half height small thread hex caps, and some sik yoloswag. Hats off to them!
I'd like to have the wheels together tonight. Right now the list consists of:
-Strip and paint 2 barrels
-Finish polishing 2 lips
-Paint one waffle
-Clear bolts
-Polish hex caps
-Assemble
