  • 17 year old kid with a Skyline R33

Hey guys, I have been following the forum for months, and have decided to take the plunge and become a member.

My name is Nick, I'm 17 years old from Canada, I want to first clear the air and say that this build is not financially supported by my parents, every dime put into my cars are earned by hard work.

My passion for cars started as a young kid playing with hot wheels; at 16 years old. I bought my first car, a Protege 5 with a Mazdaspeed turbo swap which I continued to mod. It was a blast to drive, however after re-doing the floors and assessing structural integrity due to under body rust, I decided to sell:

After receiving news of early acceptance in university and needing a reliable vehicle to travel from home to school with, I bought an 07 Mazda 3 hatch stock last year, modified it got bored and decided to sell.

After buying a turbo kit for the Mazda 3, and getting ready to turbo it, I decided to drop that project and follow my heart and buy one of my dream cars, a skyline R33.

I picked up a gen 1 1993 R33 GTS-T, It was fully stock for the exception of a turbo timer and some ugly oem looking 16" rims. My plans for the vehicle were to keep it semi stock looking, but when I got it home, I couldn't resist... The project begins:
Upon purchase (Unfortunately it looks cleaner in the pic than real life ):

And let the clean up begin:

I have more to upload when I have a free minute!

                lucky canadians
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

                Sincerely,
                The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

                Show cars are lame.

how does a 16/17yo afford this?

When I was 16 I had a shitty hilux that i could barely afford buy petrol for.

                        Preferred original wheels, personally.
Good luck! My guess is black for colour.

I think you would been better off not telling anyone your age, but thats just my opinion.

Great looking car and def can't wait to see the results.

Nah, its good to know that you're 17. It provides contrast when compared to the other scweet 17 year olds on here that we know and love.

                              Beautiful car.
