    I like it somehow.
But it's a huge help to have it while transporting something bigger than a travelers bag. The trunk isn't that small but sometimes nothing fits in it. So the roof rack comes pretty handy, if its also to big for the rear seat.

Then put it on when you need it?
All the other times hide it deep inside the netherworld.

Yes, that's what I normally do. Just mounted it for a pic or two.
I think hiding it in the trunk is enough

Well trunk is okay too, I guess.

Usually I am totally bored out from E30 because there are just sooooo many here on stanceworks. But somehow I ended up reading all of this here. Hm, might aswell follow your progress now.
Will your area below the front bumper/side mirrors stay black or will your rattle that too?

            Thanks man

Hm, I don't know it yet. I have some rattle cans left and was planning to repaint the valence anyway.
But if it will be black or silver.... I may photoshop it first.

You have a great thing going on. I like the wheel, color, chrome trim and black bumper combo, plus those headlights look crystal clear.

I would leave the roof rack, it helps to bring out the body proportions of the car.

                  it's been a while... again

                  Hi there everyone,

I haven't had much time and/or been up for doing something on the car.
Also, I waited several weeks for the assessment from the manufacturer. But now, everything got the TÜV's blessing and I can drive legally with the new wheels (I even had to buy mud flaps for the rears, just for the approval ).

Yesterday I decided to paint the bumper. Somehow it annoyed me, that it was so much black. I better let some pictures speak.

As you can see, the paint on my hood is a real mess; darn you stupid winter...
But who needs a proper paint job anyway

Also I'm really sorry for the bad iPhone pics. I think i know why

It's already the second lens cover.

So I grabbed my cam... Better?!

                  Better!

In my opinion it looks way fresher now and the slightly smoked indicators fit better.

So, shall I paint the rest of the valence, too? What do you guys think? Suggestions?!

Sauber! Für eine Sprühdosenlackierung sieht das aber doch recht sauber aus, besonders weil es silber ist. Silber wird sehr schnell wolkig. Ich bin Lackierer, ich kenne das nur zu gut.

looking good so far! just paint the front valence to match the bumper, it would look waaay better!

I love this car. I seriously put my fist in the air when I saw modernlines. Perfect raked ride height as well.

Der Lack sieht aber auch nur auf Bildern so sauber aus. Alle horizontalen Flächen sind dank letztem Winter wie 200er Nasschleifpapier.

I'll paint the valence next time, or in six months from now on.

Thanks for the compliment. Let me think, both wheels were 7x15, don't know their offsets. Tires were 195/50. I can't remember if the front or rear wheel was an OZ wheel. Well my father got them, because they weren't needed, they'd gone to the scrapyard, traded in for their alloy value with some of other junk.

Thanks It's funny with the kind of doppelganger names. But yours is truly the much nicer looking.
I think that black valence gives her a mean look or something.

                                picture time

It may be some older stuff, but I never posted it here, so here it is just for you.

                                after painting the bumper

I finally got myself a DSLR, EOS 40D, to digital use my old Pentacon lenses.

                                some interior shot

so, my clutch broke in an unusual way.

Working on Doloris led to casualties. Two weeks ago, I smashed my left thumb with a hammer whilst (finally) getting the front bumper back in its normal position. Sat 3 hrs in ER, getting stitched up. Yesterday, I changed wheels and bruised my other hand in the lift.

I think I got two left hands

But now, she's ready for winter and snow and sh..

Planned to repaint her next year. This time she gets rolled
