If you were to stop your sedan behind the B-pillar, there would likely not be enough room for driver and race seat. More importantly, you've destroyed the structure of the car by removing C-pillar, so you're going to need to add some extensive cage work. Finding a way to fit a cage that restores some rigidity and safety into that tiny cab you're leaving is going to be near impossible.
Pretty sure this is why you've never seen e36 sedans converted to trucks. Below is a coupe and you can see why a sedan will have trouble.
Also, the steel required to perform this mod is going to take almost half of your budget. Here's the build thread on the e36 above to give you an idea: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ck-s38-powered
Then you have all the reinforcement, maintenance and mod parts needed to get an e36 ready to drift.
I'm not even going to address the thought of daily driving something like this.025garage

In E36 sedans, the driver is partly behind the B pillar. Look at where the headrest is in the pic above. Further, go look at where they put the main hoop in e36 sedan race/track cars. It is considerably behind the B-pillar.

So what I plan on doing is just not cutting out as much roof. Welding in a section with rear window from a s10. And the. Filling in rest so it will sorta be like an extended cabBB6 Prelude . .
