the blow through setup with the carb is to get it up and running with the first engine, i have a second engine which is going to be built to handle the 36 pounds of boost the turbo can take. will only be running about 7 on first engine.im hoping to have one of them holley efi carbs on the second engine.

as for colour it is staying purple but a lot darker.

big update today, got the front chassis rails tacked in and bolted the suspension on with the wheels.

with the narrow front end and the engine set back everything seems to fit ok.

even still got a good lock to lock. more pics tomorrow.

engine mounts now nearly done, just a strengthening rib to add to the underside.

                bit more tomorrow.

beautiful work on this build, nice attention to detail and don't rush anything on it. But what made you choose a Rover 3.5 for it?

i know the rover is a bit old hat, i guess i could of used a small block chevy and made a lot more horse power and i know there are bigger power plants in the rover family . my mate used to race these engines and they used to have so much hassle with the bigger blocks that its just not worth the expense or hassle. he has just had a 3.9 block all machined up £1800 pounds worth only to find the block is porous ,this is a common problem with the later blocks.the 3.5 is dead reliably . the other big gain is the weight, it is very light for what it is.to me it only made sense to use the rover, its not what you have it,s how you use it,lol

Clicked on this thread expecting to find a golf, but was pleasantly surprised to find a classic ford! Nice work so far, wheels are a bit big for taste but it ain't my car! Keep it up, man.

got a bit more done, steering rack now fitted and made a frame to support the weight of the turbo and got it mounted.

just ordered some more exhaust bits so should get more done this week.
