Update!
May 5th, 2013
Another weekend worth of work
I decided to wire in a kill switch to my entire management system. So here's what I did
Popped out a blank trim piece in the center console and drilled as needed
Here's my corny kill switch which will be wired in between the 12 volt source leading to the system
Aside from that I started running the air lines through out the vehicle, connected and spliced in all my fuses, and ran the air lines to and from the manifold and tank.
Also attached my water trap and all remaining hex plugs
This is basically what the system looks like right now, didn't really clean up the area and have yet to reinstall all the trunk panels.
Due to its age the e30s undercarriage is pretty naked.
This makes routing and attaching air lines to the undercarriage of the vehicle quite the challenge. I don't have all those under body panels and splash shields to hide my lines. So, to ditch that entire idea, I decided to run the air lines for the front bags through the cabin. Using bulkhead connectors at each wheel well. This called for the removal of trim pieces and carpet.
Anyway, drilled the necessary holes and connected each airline
I placed the Bulkhead connectors in the best locations possible. Took a while to find the right spot. Didn't want to make unnecessary holes so I had to get it right the first time. Had to be a spot where the lines wouldn't kink and also come out in the correct location in the wheel well to avoid contact with the wheels and future pavement .
Here's the Right Front
The black tar like material is undercoating I applied after I drilled the holes and before I installed the fittings.
And finally the Left Front
Another weekend of progress, more to come soon. Working on getting the Front and Rear bags installedLast edited by Hella_RICH; 09-30-2013, 08:47 PM.

Very nice! I like the little details.

Really dig this so far. Looks like you had a really nice clean base to start out with.

There's no structural rust at all, basically spots of surface rust here and there but with a quick sand and paint its gone. The body is in pretty good shape, definitely considering a respray sometime in the future.

When it came down to it,
- The e30s oil pan sits way to low, no way I was going to risk cracking a pan each time I drove this thing static (respect for all those who do!)
- Unless your getting Racelands or JOM coils others would require cutting and welding just as bags would, so why not?
- GC coils aren't cheap so if im going to dish out the cash I might as well get something I really want.
- I always wanted to run Air Ride on a vehicle, just couldn't decide which so I just said F$&k it ill bag the e30.
- The list goes on but lastly.......... I just love to do shit people don't approve of. If I think its cool and worth it then ill go ahead and pursue it.
I believe its all about preference, you had your reasons for choosing coilovers so i'm sure you made the best choice.Last edited by Hella_RICH; 05-08-2013, 11:14 PM.
