The fact that you kept your promise and did a burnout on Easter is noble. The fact that you lunched a rod bearing while doing it, well that just makes me nod my head and smile.

The 350 should be a riot in that truck. If anything, you might actually get better fuel mileage because you won't be working the motor nearly as hard. ...if you can stay out of the loud pedal, that is.

I've been at the shop every night, all night this week. Everything major is completely done. I have a relatively large list of "small things" to accomplish, a very large amount of them don't need to be done to drive it. However, I'm STILL waiting for my real swap mounts. Not sure if I mentioned before but I'm running destroyed mounts from my old race truck just to get the motor in there for now. They sag so bad everything lines up awful.

I don't have much for pictures, again, sorry... I've been focused on getting this fucker done.

Here's a few... it looks the same.

I had to repin this connector for this v8, had to run two wires (injector 7&8 feed) to the PCM. Relocated the knock sensor to the right side engine mount plate and had to extend the starter signal wire. Aside from that, that's all the wiring I had to do. Score.



Accessories all on, PCM and overflow back in, fuse block reassembled.

Got the exhaust done yesterday and a few other bits. My iPhone is apparently full, though. So I have to go through and delete some junk so as to take more pictures.

Me too, I'm dying to get this thing finished.

Hurray for pictures, temp exhaust, saved from another v8 s10. 2.5" duals. Only running primary o2 sensors for the time being. There is an exhaust from a new Camaro sitting at work with a beautiful H-pipe in it that I intend to make disappear and will then add in the post-cat o2 sensor. No mufflers at this time, I have done this entire swap so far without buying any new parts (save for the mounts that haven't shown up yet ).

There is a large section of the left side heat-wrapped due to close quarters with the fuel lines, my clutch line and some wiring.

Re-located the wiring for this sub-frame, used to run on top.



I also traded some old parts off of my deceased first gen s10 for a mini-spool and a corvette rad that, believe it or not, is the same rad from my old truck.





Should have my driveshaft back tomorrow, and hopefully my mounts show up ASAP, they are really the only thing holding me back.

At the very latest this thing should be roasting tires again by the end of the week, which is a week longer than I intended it to take.
