Got a lot of work done this past weekend. Unfortunately nothing to make it look different. New brake shoes for the rear and new rotors, pads, and wheel bearings for the front. Also addressed the valve cover gasket that has been leaking forever. 3 of the 8 bolts ended up being stripped out.

Just some pics because it actually looks half clean.

Had to drive the mustang for a couple days before I got the right tap to fix the stripped threads. Luckily it didn't rain any of those days lol

Well here's sort of an update. I've been busy with school and money has been tight BUT I have been doing my "homework" and thinking what I want to do with the truck. I change my mind pretty much every day which makes it hard to decide haha. I'm pretty certain I'm going to bag it tho. I have some questions tho. Obviously my idol truck has been Ollie's hardbody. I was looking at a pic of his truck and see that he was bagged on leaf springs. I researched a lot about it and basically every says its unsafe blah blah blah.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'd appreciate the help. Here's the pic I was looking at.

Also picked up the grip royal wheel I always wanted because my other one was getting warn and I couldn't stand to look at it lol

Here's a pic of my truck just so you remember what I'm working with

I don't know how I missed you at h20. You can do a bag over axle setup. Or you can static slam the rear and get air shocks or get airlift helper bags to lift the rear from static slam. Honestly a four link is the proper way to go. Im stuck in the same boat debating what to do about the rear of mine. I do not want to cut my truck up.

Do you keep the leaf springs with a bag over axle setup? I know the "right" way to do it is to do the 4 link but I'm just kind of curious lol. One reason I really want to bag it is because my exhaust is about a 1/4 inch off the ground. As soon as I fix a leak, I get another!

that doesn't seem that bad. you'd just keep your shocks and everything then?

Yeah. What I may do is static drop the rear as low as I can go and add these. Im gonna fully bag the front and set it up my valves and switch box to run both. I really want to see what that other Nissan is running as a rear setup.

Im basically running something similar now. Im running 2in drop leafs 4in blocks and set back plates. That puts me at about 7in rear drop. Needles to say I need a notch. Im basically sitting on my frame. I added rear Monroe air shocks. At 40 psi in the shocks I sit and can drive at my slammed height. At 90psi I get about 2in lift. They max out at 160 psi. I have them run to a Schrader valve in the rear roll pan. So I can air up or out at any gas station with air depending on if Im using the truck to haul, drive or show off.

That's pretty awesome actually! I wouldn't mind that but I'm at the point were if I'm spending money, might as well do it the way I want. That hardbody has always been my inspiration. I was hoping he would see this and end all this questioning haha
