Did some work in the last few days.

Redid the whole rear suspension, new shocks and springs. The springs are off a 1995 Camaro they fit perfect. Got new kyb gas shocks, they are the same just different colors guess they changed marketing.

Going to be changing up the sway bars soon to make it a little more stiff, I know its not a race car but it is a old car with body roll.

Looking into a new set up for the front suspension soon.

Side note, going to be buying a 2nd 3tc complete motor to beef up and do a blow threw turbo. Will take me some time over a year, doing all the work my self. Want to hit 280hp and around 15psi I hope. Still going to daily the car after I do the work too the engine.

Here are some pictures of the work and such.

Spring on left is Toyota cut, middle is Camaro cut, end is the stock Camaro
Ended with cutting the Camaro spring the same height.

    old shocks didn't even decompress

    I like to paint thanks

Where I ended up, rides 1000x better, took a bumpy road that I never take since my car will smack it like crazy.
I've never been the speed limit down this road until today, I have conquered!

Not sure if I should cut a half a coil or leave it.

Any thoughts or questions on height?

one more coil should be solid.

good call on the camaro springs, I am rocking some cut jeep cherokee springs. exact same design, just a way higher spring rate.
also have my trd's for backup.

but dude!!! like I was sayin, lmk if you need any info, I know tons about blowthrough/drawthorugh carbs setups..
I am building a turbo setup right now for my 3tc also..

dont plan on seeing 280 whp unless you got bookoo bucks to spend. and plus 200 whp in this car will leave you shitting in your pants still.... ha

where you could have made a better choice in struts and shocks though...
you could have gotten some gr2 camaro shocks as well... they have a shorter stroke and are a little heftier as well... bolt up no prob.

I am running a sw20 mr2 front insert. and a camaro rear shock. both kyb agx's

and please.... please... put back on the stockies....

Look into getting some enkei 92's to keep with the retro vibe this car has. Also check out something similar to the ae86 coupe rear spoiler to fill the back of the car out a bit more.

As I mentioned in a different te72 thread, shortened bumpers are a must on these cars. Looks great so far, keep up the work!

you cant really "shorten" our bumpers...

you can either take them off. or take out the impact foam and cover. and rock the metal...
looks decent. a few friends with te's rock it like that. ill shoot ya some pics later..

imo, keep the stock bumpers on... they look awesome...

also, for a cheap chrome bumper, you can take the1st gen 4 runner front and rear. the te51 corolla front and rear.
you can even fuck around with some datsun/nissan pickup front bumpers.. thats what I had setup on my other car. looks awesome!

Do you have any pictures of the mr2 set up and year etc... I like this idea since it would be more modern and would ride a lot smoother.

The turbo 3tc will be like a year and half build. So I would be dumping some money I would like to run a 61 or 70 mm turbo. Seen a few videos of 70mm turbo.

Looking into doing a small budget type. I have been looking up a lot of parts, I found out that Mazda b2000 heads fit into a 3tc and can take around 400hp which would be perfect. Also finding a lot of parts local since florida likes these Toyotas

                  pics of my setup?
                  sure.

the casings were shortened. to fit the sw20 mr2 inserts.
previous before that I had the sw20 inserts in the stock uncut casings with the T3 advance strut tube spacer.

its basically the same front setup. you are just using a different strut insert, that is a shorter length.

                  2nd gen mr2 btw.

I also use T3 RCA's and tein ae86 camber plates.

you dont need a big turbo either.. you said you wanted to run blow through?? what carb would you plan on boosting?

yea so I have heard the b2000 pistons will fit in. but then you have to find the proper rod lengths and shit and do all that..

you can take apart the front casings and remove the strut insert
