So I had some free time from the baby and wife today. I got a set of 522 xxrs from a local guy and they had some kumho 205/60/15 Wheels are 15x8.

Rolled both lips front and back, just to be sure it cleared did but wanted to be positive. It is my daily driver too so wouldn't want to rub, Got a tank of gas as I took it for a spin and the tire rub just barely over bumps....But I can live with it, took the spare out to lose the little weight.

Also have a 1990 or so front ranger lip that fits perfect, just need to sand and repaint it. Was spray painted blue and its peeling off. Just need to trim the top to make it fit and will work awesome, Also got some headers off the guys friend who I got the wheels from.

Putting the Lip on tonight as I type this up just waiting on for it to dry.

Living In Florida tint is the number 2 thing to have your car other then AC which is number 1, and it does have ac too just need to charge.

Put on the front lip I got from a 1990s ranger looks neat will take pictures tomorrow.

Hoping to have the headers repainted black with a few coats to make it last little longer and a full 2.5 inch exhaust straight pipe to a thermal muffler I got for cheap.

Also, the reason for no front caps, they wont fit. I tired to take off the little piece in the middle but it is a cover for the bearings inside. So I painted it black to make it blend little better.

Just FYI if your not feeling the ranger lip, an 80's s10/blazer lip fits the te chassis perfect.

Also a smaller series tire and pull the caps off the back and it would be on point!

I ran 522's with federal 195/45/15 tires on my te and it was a perfect fit. Deff need smaller tires.

Good looking car, not the wheels I would have gone with, I think something that keeps the oldschool flavor on there would be my first choice but if the deal was good enough then more power too ya. What are the plans other than the new front lip?

Small update

Yea on budget for buying things, mainly why I went with the 522s, wheels and tires for $600 couldn't say no tread is about 50% on all 4.

Got the front lip installed just need to throw a few more bolts on and such. Had to cut off about 1 inch off each side for it too fit good.
Will be going slow with this build as it is my DD and my other is a bike which great but I love driving this car. That and with a 6 month old right now I don't want to stretch my self on money.

This week will be trying for the healers and full 2.5 inch exhaust straight pipe.

Also in the market for some Ae86 Gts seats or some other Toyota seats. My front seats right now are ripped threw the whole seat, reason for covers.
Keeping all the original seats and any parts incase I feel I need too sell or anything, but I am loving how the car is coming out.

On to photos, all cell phone and my car is mad dirty, cant keep it clean here in FL too much sand. But might wash it just to wash it since I have new things on it. Painted the calipers red too but none of the photos show it, looks neat just for show mainly nothing hopped up. Just want to look good when driving.

Don't mind stuff in car its the stuff I need when I hit up junk yards and random paint.

The small side windows do roll down too.


Thought you could see the lip more but guess not.


Don't mind the random gauge its not drill into anything as I didn't want to mess my dash up more. It does work, temp gauge.


Yes that is carpet, I need to repaint/get the small rust with rust fixing stuff, forgot name. Also the original carpet is nasty.

So I haven't updated this is a long time. I don't really like to put up small stuff I guess.

Either way I did some small work to the car. Still have the xxrs on I don't really have money for $1500 ssr right now.

But I did put some new tires on the wheels, was a 205/50 now is a 195/45.

Threw in some gauges in the center box thing that never really did much, they all work but the oil pressure not so sure on a mechanical one. Cleaned up the inside of the car a little as well. The engine bay got a small make over with the removal of the entire ac system. Fixed the lip on the front so it doesn't move so much too.

Threw on some pacesetter headers to a straight pipe muffler. A bit loud....

On to some pictures, Also took off the rear louver thing. Got the car a little sideways one day and it flung off the rear hatch. So need to make it fit better.

Should I keep the louver or leave it off?
