I'm loving the wrinkle black, coz it was always something i wanted to do, to have a stealth engine bay with everything in wrinkle black.

But I am a bit iffy on the painting of exhaust heat shields in wrinkle black paint... Maybe the VHT high temp exhaust manifold paint would be a better choice as it is safe for high temps.

Otherwise i recon those heat shields would have looked cool in just raw wire wheeled finish to break up the black.

              Thanks for the feedback Roman!
I'm a bit iffy about them too. Not for heat but with the crappy. Cast exhaust..
I may Fab up my own stainless exhaust later. Then it may look better.

                  Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of updates.
Been pretty busy. But i have been working on the ute quite a lot. Just not time to update.

                  Ok.
                  Here we go...

Pulled the thermostat housing off. Itttt wasnt so good... Ordered a new one.

                  Polished heater hose bracket.

The firewall underneith the clutch master was leaking, so i sanded, primed and repainted it.

Oil cap is still my favourite part .

Cleaned and painted the brake booster.

                  FINALLY!!!!!!

                  Some fabrication!!

Factory brake pedal pad size SUCKS. Decided to make my own.. .

                  Non-slip grip tape .

                  New shiftknob.

                  Cleaned up the caliper pistons.

And this is why i polish everything up. New just looks too.... New?... :/.

Calipers rebuilt with new rubbers and on the car.

How the engine bay looks ATM. Nothing special. But it is ALOT cleaner than before.

So the ute had an accelerator lever.. But no pedal. So i TIG'ed one up.

Have a AE92 corolla (my first car, now parts) steering boss. Wondered if it would fit...
                    Colour coded sparco anyone??!

                    Whats this??
Well, the keybarrel was no good. So i wired up a panel. (and im going to swap the red button for a plain black one).

Lastly. I put the accelerator pedal in. Only to find out it wasnt close enough to the floor. Far too high.
So i TIG'd an extension in.

If you guys have any questions or feedback about anything ive done please dont be afraid!
I love to hear feedback .

Good work. Top effort with the wrinkle paint, which brand did you use?

Thanks . Wrinkle paint is hit and miss. If the temperature isn't right it doesn't wrinkle properly :/.
Good paint though. Its VHT brand .

Probably my most favorite Toyota pickup ever made, and you're doing a fantastic job of doing it up right.

                              Keep up the great work.
