is that a lada niva front in that mini??
awesome work on the minor again
I just went through the pictures to see what you might be talking about... no lada's here. Just a 76 clubman estate, a trabant, and a variety of other mini's.

Looks awesome.
Any chance you'll dig into the engine any? A 3500 top swap and a cam would really wake it up.
Not sure at this stage, think we will enjoy it for a bit and see what it's like. I wouldn't mind a better cam, not sure about getting doing the 3500 top swap, I thought there was some machining involved with that? Also we have been thinking about potentially turbo'ing it and possible a little laughing gas. Buuuuut, still got to do full interior and paint. All in time, just want to get the other 2 done, and then revisit the engine spec once we get bored of it.

I can't believe I haven't seen this yet. This is a truly awesome build dude, and it looks like you have some other awesome machines as well. It made me especially happy to look over and see that you're in Annapolis and that I'll probably see this at shows. Good shit.
I feel bad I haven't been over to atleast marley station, but I'm always wrenching and not enjoying the fruits of my labor. Hopefully when this car goes off to paint one day I'll be taking the 76 estate out some more. Plus I am getting ready to build another Astro here very shortly. Should look interesting in Porsche riviera blue...

Finally had some time to get back at it. I had to redesign the alternator setup for the 3rd time. I almost have it sorted out other than it keeps wanting to toss the belt of the crank pulley, which means I have to look into the alternator (that is my suspect) alignment. I added also a idler pulley so I could get the tensioner to work correctly finally. I also had time to dig into the shifter, ended up having to cut about a inch to inch and a half off the threaded rod to finally get me into park. Ha! Coming along slowly, but now that my van build is coming to a conclusion I should have more time to put into this one.

Kind of exciting day, got the Morris pulled out of the garage to finally let it idle and warm up the exhaust. This is the first time I have been able to attempt to run up to temp. Exhaust is clearing up, thank god. However noticed a few issues. One, idle is up and down, air filter is loud as hell, exhaust smells extremely rich and the plugs are def showing rich, something is not right with the power steering, hence why the belt is loose, if I had it all the way tight the pump would jerk the steering wheel violently, will be calling KRC today about that. Other than that, progress is progress. Wish the light at the end of the tunnel was in sight... The exhaust note though makes me very happy.

Sounds like air in the power steering line is all. Unless Im missing something, some vehicles have taken me hours of back and forth bleeding to get rid of the violent steering wheel jerk.
