They are relatively easy to get parts for... but it's not like the Classic Mini, not even close. But again, on this car there really isn't anything stock. The only thing I got was new chrome, window seals, bumper, and headlights. The rest is kinda... one off so to speak.

I'm not sure how I missed this build. This things is absolutely fantastic.
It always makes me proud to see fellow Marylanders build cars like this.

Keep up the amazing work, and I'm staying tuned to see how this thing turns out.

Jeez, to think I started this build.... BEFORE I HAD A KID.... now she is a 1.5 years old. But eh progress is progress. So what will I do to make the purist **** me more? Shaved the front turn signals (Headlights have them built in), shaved the trafficators (I wanted to keep em, but they were just dummies anyway, and clean... clean.. clean), shaved gas filler (got billet filler in trunk now, re hung front end and added supports, tweaked both doors, and of course rear fenders are now done. I was going to fabricated a roll pan, but I just didn't see it working at this point. So I am gonna turn my time instead to finishing welding interior trans tunnel, wheel wells, etc. Also trying to come up with a dash extension to hide the heater/ac unit.

Cars still amazing. I find it really good looking in its current raw state with some rust, some fresh metal and satin black fenders.

Trying to figure out the dash to trans tunnel connection. Sucks the heater is gonna stick out just a little bit, but it is what it is. I don't want to make it blatantly unsymmetrical. The dash/console will be painted gloss black.

Time to get back on it!

Floors all welded up! Trans tunnel fully welded up, well wheels, and custom dash made up!

Turn signals shaved (They are located in headlights now)

Sadly Trafficators are shaved... but pops wants everything smooth and clean...

A great solution to widening the rear fenders 3.5". A nice rounded front.

Gas filler shaved, and the 3.5" wider rear fenders fully welded up.

                      • This is boss! I must admit Im digging the raw look atm
I was on local carsales and there is two of these FS one complete and was recently registered and the other is a parts car with an a12 with manuel trans sitting in the boot
but he is chasing 5k aud... big commitment plus I have to find transport from 14hrs away
I always wanted one of these, perfect for euro rodding.....jealous much

I'm glad your enjoying the build, I have way too many projects going on, between building a new shop this winter/spring, getting ready to install a MR2 supercharger on my Mini, and wrapping up the Trabant.... plus having a little one running around. It's getting harder and harder to find time to dedicate to this project. But, I am excited that there could be a good push this winter to get all the minor things figured out and on the road... then off to paint. I'll post up pics as they develop. I'm still having issues with Power Steering, belt alignment, alternator bracket tension, finish AC install... I am also thinking about swapping out the suspension to coilovers...
