  • Bobsyruncle.com Miata Build

I'm basically porting this build thread from ClubRoadster to get some opinions and input on my build. Now lets start start with a couple of my previous builds to get a feel of what i'v done before. I will also be starting a another thread for a new Fiat 500 that I bought my girlfriend.

    190E Evolution II Replica

190E 2.3-16v, 7 page feature in hemmings motor magazine.

Widebody E320, featured in Eurotuner and ES1 magazine

Fabulous S500 - SEMA for FABULOUS

2002 Brabus Carbonfiber Widebody Big Turbo Smart Car - 7pg Feature Eurotuner

2001 Stage 3- GIAC S4, super sleeper status.

    1992 325 M-tech Vert II Full OEM

    2002 MV Agusta F4750 EV02 2100 miles - Living room decor

    1993 190E C36 engine swapped Full Wald

    1997 E39 540/6 Full Hamann

    I received a 1997 Acura Integra with a K20 in a trade.

Now on to the Miata. I bought the Miata from GoMiata when I used to work there. I wanted to do a realllyy budget build. It started out like this. It was on cut springs, blown shocks. Leaking like a boss. But I saw potential in the Miata.

The first thing I did was put on some Megan EZ Streets since the ride was the worst thing iv ever driven. Then I went around to painting the car with Rustoleum Battleship grey using the roller method. I bought all brand new black carpeting for the car. Changed out the door panels to black. Painted anything that was left tan, mostly the dash, with SEM vinyl paint (best paint for interior pieces IMO). Replaced all old rubber molding and weather stripping with new ones. Replaced most of the engine gaskets to battle the leakage. I basically just changed whatever was old to make the car a good runner without any problems.

Threw on some focal speakers in the doors

Fast forward to getting current. After buying my gf a new fiat 500, kw variant 3's, and vip modulars. I decided I should probably make my Miata boss to be in the same field as her car.

Then put on an autokonexion trunk

Then since it looks like I was going to keep the car for awhile I decided to fix all the leaks.

Picture from VIP Modualar x Stance Society meet.

    Bought Wilwood LBBKs

Added front flares and 17mm adapters

Started to vinyl wrap it with Hexis Variochrome Pearl White Gloss

Ran outta material. So I made a build thread here. Stay tuned!

not as much a fan of that widebody as just normal overfenders. looks kinda bloated. But you've got quite the history with some sick builds. Can't knock that

Previous cars shows that you have serious skill making legit stuff.

Love what you've done with the Miata already. I'm wrapping my car with Hexis coming up soon too.
Wheels and color will be great!

The Hexis material is pretty nice! Its my first time using vinyl and I haven't had any problems or mistakes with it.

Maybe I'm behind the times, but I really can't find myself to like the widebody on a Miata. Hopefully I'll come around when it's getting more done, but I agree with juntsky it looks bloated.

                Nice previous cars though.

Judging from your previous builds, I think this one is going to be good
