Well the project is on hold for the moment, lost my job today so even though I have enough money in my bank account to get my tires, wheels, suspension and 5 speed swap I am going to have to find another job before I can throw any real money at the car......fucking pissed

Just bite the bullet and ordered my wheels and tires....15x10 -25 smooth steel wheels and 205/60/15 Falken 512's both should be here late this week or early next week then I am going to cut the springs up front and order my circle track springs for the back.

Wheels should be here Thursday, tires on Friday and fender work starts Saturday. Hoping I can just cut the lip off and get away with a big fender pull rather than having to buy over fenders. Might rip the rear bumper off this weekend as well as starting my exhaust work, so it should be a good weekend. Oh and my MK1 rabbit front from lip should be here early next week.Comment

Yeah, when I saw them I figured they would look cool with the car, and with the smooth faces they look just different enough that they would stand out a bit from all the other steel wheels out there.Comment

My new wheels showed up today!!!! Did a quick test fit to see how much fender work I am going to need to do....and the answer is a metric ass ton but it looks like I may be able to get away with not buying fender flares. The wheels do look awesome and with some metal work the car should look a lot better. Now on to the pics

My tires will be here tomorrow and should be mounted up sometime Monday so once that happens I will throw the wheels and tires on the car and see where things sit again because I am headed to the shop Saturday to start working on my fenders.

Tires made it in today, and should be mounted up by the end of the today. Here is a quick shot of the size difference between a pair of 15x10" wheels and a pair of 205/60/15 Falken 512's

More work was done today, got my Datsun front bumper on, found some different flares for the car so if anyone wants some 2.5" ZG Flares hit me up.

Please dont mind the hacked up look of the flares as they are being built for a different rig. I will be changing a few things on the way that they sit but overall that is about how they will look.I will need a small spacer in the rear

Plans for this weekend:
Get my new front lip mounted
Cut fender flares to fit and zip stitch together for now
Cut fenders under the fender flares
Get wheels and tires put on the car
Cut stock springs for moar low
Rip the rear bumper off possibly
Looks like I am in for a busy day in the shop this weekend, glad that I have some help from good friends! Pics to come ASAPComment
