  • College kid budgeted 325e M60 swap, PIC HEAVY!

Hey all, I've been a long time lurker of S|W and love some of stuff guys do on here. I'm a R3Vlimited junkie so you'll probably find my same thread over there too. Starting my E30 325e V8 M60 swap on a college kid's budget. Right now I'm looking to get the car running and on the road by Spring time. I'm gonna have a lot of new parts on this car I'm needing to get rid so feel free to PM me if you need something. Expect lots of pictures too since I want this thread to deliver haha. Enjoy!

    - Marko

START DATE: January 7th. - Exhaust manifold, mid pipe, and rear removed.

UPDATE January 8th: Diving boards off! Got a little rust in my eyes but totally worth it.

      Front:

      Back:

      Side markers removed.

Started with the back, had trouble with the shocks until I found that elusive 3rd bolt on the top side of the shock.

      Boom! Looks so much better.

      Starting with the front.

      Lower valence off.

Front was easy, two bolts only for the front shocks.

      Trim off!

      Finished product:

Motor and transmission coming out this weekend.

Yeah I was in the dilemma of whether to keep or not but now I've decided to gut her and start fresh.

Borrowing my buddy's hoist for a while. I would have drained all the fluids today but had to help my dad power wash some shit around the house. Motor and transmission still on target to come out this Saturday or Sunday.

                            Update: March 20th

Sorry for the delay but I've been on the school grind ATM. Picked up six salad shooters, four of which are 16x8.5 and the other two 9.5's for the rear. Gave them a good power wash today. Over the Spring break I plan on refinishing and maybe respraying them too. I'll be starting my sourcing of parts, motor and transmission over the break and the upcoming weeks will be the start of my project and I'll update it frequently as it comes along.
