Yep, nothing like good old east coast winters to suck the ambition right out of you.
This project is damn cool. Rust is a mofo tho.

I never really chronicled my rust here. These cars may be plastic, but under that its still metal. Mine has the worst rust Ive ever seen. The door sill on the drivers rear door is pretty much nonexistant. Haha

Copied and pasted this from some other, non stance oriented forums, so dont mind reading the things that you already know.

Alright. Had my mind made up on wheels, and now Im fighting my head again.

First choice, is the one I had my mind made up on.

                        Wagen Wheels WW1.

                        Front- 16x7 ET15 175/50 Rear- 16x9 ET25 205/45

                        Front-

                        Rear-

Pros: Staggered, like I want. Big lips, like I like. Already know they are pretty good quality, since we have them on the VW. I also test fit a set with the exact same specs, so I know exactly what they will look like.

Cons- Awkward tires sizes cost an assload ($445 shipped). Cant rotate, so less life out of them. Resale is going to be harder, because of specific fitment. Paying someone to strip and hand polish the lips, so that is more money/time before they can be on the car.

                        OR:

Rotiform BLQ or NUE(specs are exactly the same on both of them).

17x8 ET30 (front) and ET20 (rear). (may also do ET30 all the way around and use spacers for the rear) 205/40 all the way around.

                        BLQ-

                        NUE-

Pros- Popular wheels, will be better accepted by the "scene". Tire sizes are the same so I can rotate, and if I get ET30 all the way around, rotating will be as easy as stock. Tires are much more readily available ($248 and can get picked up at Walmart). Popular wheels and sizes, so resale will be VERY easy. These go like hotcakes on the forums

Cons- worried 17s will be too big. I like lips, and these dont have any. Specs seem ok on an online calculator, but obviosuly real life is different (dont have the test fit to go on like I do with the others).

Regardless of which way I go, they are still shorter than the stock wheels/tires I have on their now, so I will still be going lower.

Price is nearly a non issue. They are nearly identical. Fitment should be a non issue as well, the fitment will be nearly the same with either option.

WW1- Wheels, tires, getting the lips polished- About $1124
Rotiforms- Wheels and Tires- about $1164

                        Thoughts?

Those ww1's would look great IMO.

This will be prettymuch exactly where the WW1s will sit, and the Rotiforms would be VERY close to this.

The reason I said WW1's is because there is a saturn coupe on NUE's, and they look great on the coupe, but with a wagon I think something with a bit of lip would look better.

Yeah I know Kyle. Thats kind of what Ive always been thinking as well, but for some odd reason I think it could be pulled off, especially with the BLQs.

Not to mention the cheaper tires that can be rotated, making things easier in the long run. Idk. The WW1s are what I wanted, but things with the Rotis just sound easier. Haha
