This I like to hear! Well like you said, if you need any help im more than willing once I get my car back running like a normal vehicle. Which part of brisbane are you in by the way! Im in Toowong, pretty awesomely central to everywhere, also I hope your car is safe from this ridiculous weather that just appeared!

I literally only got the BMW out to one Downshift event, and it hasn't been boosted since I bought it. Belt will go on as soon as possible though

Haha yes!Originally posted by 244Brick View PostI love new girl show!!!
Its quite good.
Man I am so suprised we havent either! A boosted BMW like yours is infinitely cooler than this honda that sounds like a wasps nest when it revs. I am the same though, every time I enter the garage more stuff seems to get broken than fixed, but eh, thats the fun part.Originally posted by floatingdino View PostI'm honestly surprised we haven't met, considering our close proximity.
I would offer to lend a hand if you needed it, but I can't do anything and my mere presence would undoubtedly break your car more.
Brakes look cool as, get this bish rolling again!
Like when bleeding my brakes, I thought the honda would be normal and that you bleed furtherest brake first to closest, supposedly not, its the opposite, so I wasted all this awesome brake fluid and now cant get more till tomorrow. but oh well! more money and time.
And this bish rolls, thats all it does! doesnt go forward very fast :P but soon enough.
Really! Yes! more brisbane peopleOriginally posted by Thom View PostSaw this at the meet in question. love this thing. so fkin cool.
Thanks man, I get quite a lot of looks, and whenever it rolls into a meet it seems now everyone whispers 'its got bags' as I go past. so its not even stealthy anymore

Anyway. I have been super disheartened by everything in the way to do with cars this whole last week. I couldn't even bring myself to open my garage to look at my blue boat this week so I didn't even know if it was still in there. My other car - I havent posted it up here before is in no better state. I'm trying to build a show quality accord and a rotor powered skidder, while in uni, with minimal income. 'tis difficult business.
Anyway. So after moping around all week not doing much, finally an update!
I had thrown these underneath my desk and behind it all week so I wouldnt have to look at them as they cost so much money, but I finally pulled out my new rotors and pads and went to town on my car, weeeeeeeeeee.
Anyway, heres what I woke up to on a saturday morning early-ish. I wish I could say I don't do this often, but I have seen this exact sight WAY to many times for my liking, although jacking up the car is INFINITELY easier now that the whole car moves!

anyway, the old brakes looked like ass:

then we got out hands dirty, screwed arond for multiple hours and had everything in a mess (yes this is a rear, I didnt take a progress shot of the front)

And then we finally ended up with this!

So now everything else bar my new struts, brakes and everything looks like an old POS part from 1900 and that it needs replacing. but hey, everything you can see at least with the wheel on now looks beautiful.
However my clutch is still ruined and:

Ok well sort of an update!
Clutch was busted; In the process of purchasing a Stage 2 Exedy 3 puk Racing Ceramic one. Yes its overkill, yes it will be a pig to drive but there is a plan in the works where I will need this.
Got a price from two groups within australia, both times I was like:

At their prices - freaking ridiculous.
Then was searching around the states, found one for hundreds cheaper and so!

Found the new clutch, should be here either next week or week after. Will be change in the coming couple of weeks!
Secondly; brakes are half fitted, as in I got the car onto stands and then got bored. So I will be doing them very shortly provided I don't wreck anything else.
I have yet to roll guards. Still. Damn I'm so lazy. I will get to that with in the coming month also!
The car needs to be ready by april 9th to be driving again, but ultimately needs to be clean and presentable for a huge show on the 28th of april.
Also looking at getting some Rotiform NUE's for this car. someone should totally help me out and sell me some 18's.Last edited by AccordEuro; 03-21-2013, 07:09 PM.

Yeah I love the 17's face, but I felt as though it needs more dish. So as to cheat a little im going to try 'step-lipping' the lips (because they are three piece wheels) to 18 inch so it appears to have more dish when really it just steps down.Originally posted by dvious View PostCars looking very good, still not sure on those wheels, not sure if style or size. But keen to see whats next!
That should fix the look of being a little to small....
Or im just buying some rotiform NUE's in 18's.
And agreed. Have been meaning to get the guards rolled, in order to play with camber kits in the rear, to fix said camber. however. :'( clutch comes first. No point rolling guards if the car cant come out of the garage under its own power!Originally posted by Randomofodication View PostLike the wheels on the car but that back camber is throwing it off

Eh, not particularly. they are sort of the 'cool kids cars' over here and everyone pays a premium. :'( but that being said If I can build this whole car I have for >11,000$ then I can sure as heck get one for >2000Originally posted by rsingh3g View PostThat would be great, do those cars go for a steal there?
But, my accord hates me. I bought brakes this week to put the finishing little touches on this car, SOOOO close to being complete, then all of a sudden the whole clutch just goes from being perfect to eating itself in the span of 20km's..... so the car is parked up and I'm trying to decide what to dooooo. Because im broke and need to find a good deal on a clutch.
