SIDE PIPE BABY. I take back everything I said. It lives.
HAHA YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Some other things ive bought recently.
Fancy Carbon fiber shift knob.... Mmmmmmmmmmm
Copious amounts of gold reflective tape for the bottom of the cab to help keep the heat downish.
Finally cased and bought prebuilt LED headlights because I don't feel like finishing mine haha
Also got a LED third brake light off a 07 Silverado and modified the cab to fit it.
Looks pretty dope, and should hopefully keep morons off the tailgate.
And because I like be as trendy as possible, picked up red LED strip for sweet windshield brake light.
That's all for now, Given the state of Florida is above water after this tropical storm, I should have more updates this weekend.
that looks dope! i did something similar on my dakota a while back. you should make a plate for around it, the square cutout looks kinda funny.
I'm going too, I just ran out of time on the weekend to make one, literally finished the exhaust at like 8:30 last night then had to drive home about a hour so I could be up for work at 4am today. But yeah man I love the way it turned out
Finally finished my exhaust this weekend.
Had to make bracket for the muffler, and since its going out the bedside I needed something solid. Threw this together with the usual harbor freight boogers. Mounts through where the stock bed mount was.
Then had to make the pipe for it, used a 45 degree pipe and a v band for quick release.
AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!
Now everyone is gonna assume it has a lot of power :/
Spent a little time mocking up the new rear bumper. Going to take a little tweaking to get it perfect.
Mocked up a old license plate where I was thinking about putting the license plate. Don't really like the old minitruck style with the plate molded in the middle of the tailgate so I'm going this route.
Then I needed a way to make it look better with the plate, because I didn't like the idea of just screwing it into the tailgate. So I took the old rollpan and cut the license plate part out.
Now the plate is recessed in the tailgate. Have to go back and smooth out the shape then mount it.
looks awesome man, wish it was lower but regardless you are killin it!!!
Thanks man, I wish I could go lower also, but the frame permits me from doing so.
I recently moved about 45 mins away from my old house. But my brother is letting me keep the truck there so Ill have to drive back on weekends and stuff to work on the truck.
BRAZZERS!!!!
Truck left the garage under its own power today, so I gave it a quick wash.
Got a couple little things to do then it should be ready for a road test!
