so motor is all in now, in the past few weeks this has happened

-new oil pan adapter for turbo oil return
      -mounted the coil
      -mocked in the rad support
      -mocked in the intercooler
-got an idea of the piping

now i am just waiting on some turbo related bits like some random weird couplers etc, also need to get my intercooler modified to fit out of sight behind the grille
which on a small bumper mk2 is tough anyways progress is progress

            So update time once again,

got to work installing the sound deadening on the firewall, i had removed the stock stuff on a whim, so i figured i better do something. I used b-quiet standard sound deadening mat. It was actually a lot more work then i anticipated lots of cutting and heating etc......

i also installed a heat shield for the turbo but forgot to snap a picture.

today i am hoping to starting piecing the interior back together all the side pillars etc, i can't seem to remember how the rear door cards go back in, they have this wierd stacked plastic clip with screw with cap i can't seem to get back together.

            anyways, PROGRESS

Got some more work done yesterday,

Heater box is up and in, minus side plumbing.

A pillars are in, and passenger side door cards, and rear speaker trays are in

Anyone have a good tip for the rear card, can't seem to get the card under the clips on the window, which means in sticks out on the top.

Anyways here are some terrible pictures

                been doing more work lately,

got my drive by wire gas pedal welded up,
pedal cluster is in. i did however find out i need a new clutch master, another 100$:banghead:
i also got the starter temporarily installed until i get the correct bolts,
and i also began to get a rough idea of my charge piping and intake, still waiting on my intercooler
to get welded up before i can get all that in. also picked up a used intank pump.

                anyways pictures of the progress:thumbup:

so i am thinking that while i have access to the valve cover and the intake, that i should paint it a different color to help break up all the black,

                  open to suggestions

                  leaning towards red or golf

so been doing a bit more work recently!:thumbup::thumbup:

been acquiring more parts to keep progressing on the build, those parts are!

                      -walbaro inline fuel pump
                      -new clutch master cylinder
-some girling 54's to run while i save some more dough for the wilwood stuff i want
-vr6 power steering pump with 1.8t pulley

i also recently got the rest of the car undercoated. fuel tank is out getting all new clamps for the hose and cleaned off 26 years of junk that had built up.

went on a bit of a parts buying spree recently!

picked up a vr6 power steering pump and swapped a 1.8t pulley onto it!

picked up some 10.1" girling 54's

bought a sparco junior fixed back bucket seat. Also bought some universal brackets for it

then i snagged a walbaro 255 lph inline pump kit for a whopping 68$!
and a brand new clutch master cylinder for 70$

LOTS OF WORK TO BE DONE!!!!!

been doing some work, well as much as i can with the cold weather.

i recently got my intercooler back. it now has a 90* elbow on the driver side to wrap around the edge of the radiator.
so i have been testing fitting some options as to how i am going to run my piping, now keep in mind i am trying to use
existing pieces i had from when this motor was in the mk4, using various couplers i think i can do it with only one cut.

so this is the passenger side,
its a 60* coupler off the intercooler to a 90 pipe with the sensor already welded in then straight to the throttle body

i believe all i will have to do is cut off the 90* bend on the end of the black pipe then add another 45* bend to join the two, this way i don't have to relocate the BOV

and how the cooler will sit, just have to make some simple brackets for the bottom, the top will be held by two long bolts down through the rad support. it doesn't hit on anything
only modification is pushing the driver side of the radiator out towards the firewall about .5 of an inch.
