  • By the way, here's some stance pics.

I'm finally flush, now that I have 9.5's!!! (sorry about the 4x4 ride height, lol. I need wheel spacers and shorter springs.)

That's just ignorant. You're driving around in a car that's either going to get you or someone else hurt.

Anyways, what's the offset and tire size on those 9.5s?

      • Yea I'm just waiting for the control arm to brake while you drift through a school zone like a dumbass and then hit a bunch of kids and when they go to investigate they find cut control arms...yup, the excuse, "i liked them and the cut didn't affect its strength", should hold up in court

Maybe you shouldn't be so ignorant and question yourself WHY everyone yells about your control arms.
If you don't have a clue what the dangers are, then stop modding your car. You can go YOLO with your own life, but then don't cause any danger for those around you.

now go get some stock and uncut control arms (or the tubular ones), post them on here, WITH a current newspaper, and only then we're good.

          and then this:

Why don't you start NOT hitting a curb? Problem solved.

          no ****. Just worried

          • I'm sorry but I've read through the tread and I'd have to agree, it's seems your moving backwards in many aspects. A multi billion dollar corporation paid dozens of highly educated engineers to design the arm as is for the purpose it performs. Cutting it and not replacing the structural integrity seems like asking for trouble. Hopefully nothing happens. As for your most recent "stance pics" I'd really suggest either a better camera or different settings. Also why are still only running flush in the front? It just looks funny/sounds odd to brag about stance and have 20+ year old OEM wheels on.

I may be ignorant, but my car's safety is perfectly sound.

Offset is 35 with a 5/16" spacer now. Tire is 225/40/18 Kumho Ecsta

I'm not an asshole while I'm driving, I do not drive aggressively around other people on the street, especially in school zones. It was 2am when I was in the middle of the desert on an empty road when I hit that curb.

I know the dangers of everything done to my car, and there's no way that my control arms would bend even if I somehow gripped a turn at 80mph and caught 2Gs of force. It's 3/16 inch stamped steel that's holding 700in/lbs less force than it's designed to hold, give me a break....

The engineers did a shitty job on the suspension design anyway, using 1960's geometry. The structural integrity designed into the arms was unnecessary overkill the minute my coilovers went on.

Sorry for the shitty pics, it was dark and I'm using a 5 year old camera phone.

I had the shitty stock wheels on because I had yet to convert to 5 lug in the rear. I just did yesterday and now I have some shitty 18" Motegi's. I'm waiting for some CCW knock-offs to come in the mail. BTW, nothing on my thread is about bragging, it's to keep a journal of progress on my car.

              • Here's some more pics:

The day I did my 5 lug/disk brake swap, got some takeoff tires mounted on junkyard Motegi rims in the back seat

Tonight I took some pics with the rims on and lowered the front an inch.

                Hellaflush

My friend/roomate trying to be funny in the passenger seat lol

PS sorry for the shitty pics, my phone sucks in the dark.
And why no hood? Because racecar. lol

And what makes you so smart that that your hack job is better than 60s technology, honestly until you start working on your car with a little bit less ignorance people on here are just going to keep shitting on your parade...and for good reason, you my friend sound like a complete fucking idiot

Because attention whore for all the wrong reasons.

People aren't breaking necks to look at your car because it's "cool", they're looking to point and laugh, while wondering what the hell is wrong with you. Taking your hood off to show a dirty, stock engine bay is nothing short of a tool move.

Actually my fiberglass hood isnt compatible with the stock latch. I really dislike the hood pins. The cut control arms are for better steering lock. (so that one actually is because racecar, lol)

I get a lot of compliments on my car, actually.
I took my hood off because I took my front clip off and have yet to put it back on because I'm painting it right now.
My engine is neither dirty, nor stock. I detail it every 2 weeks (I live in a dusty desert). True, everything up top is all manufactured by ford, but it never came stock on a mustang.

How the hell is this dirty?? (sorry for the dark picture)
