It's basically a glorified cordless drill battery, and is intended for race bikes. More than enough cranking amps (130) to start the bike, though (minimim CCA needed is around 80). The bike has minimal accessories on it, and I wired the headlight so it is turned on separate from the ignition. Also, the bike is really easy to push start so I'm not worried about getting stranded if it dies on me.

](the weird blob on the back of the bike is a spare tail light I hooked up to make at least a little bit street legal)
Worked on tuning the exhaust and carbs this weekend, it's running pretty well and rides great. I'm not the best at carb tuning though, so I'll definitely want to invest in some dyno time for the bike with someone who knows what they're doing to get it running 100%.
Also, I weighed the bike. It's 390 pounds wet, which is nearly 100 pounds lighter than it was before.

The bike should be getting torn back apart for paint in about a month, so I gotta make a final decision on color. I'm definitely going with the gray and bronze look, but I'm going back and forth on what shade of gray to do. What say you?
Nardo (I think this one might be at the top of the list currently, and this example has bronze accents as well):
Telesto (this is in second place at the moment):
Aviator:
Nimbus:
GT3RS:
Scion Concrete Grey:
Slate Grey:
Any others I may want to consider?

I feel like the grey color hides the coolness of the frame (esp the custom work for the seat section), but maybe thats what you're going for. Regardless, the bike looks pretty damn cool. Do you have any pix showing the headlight?

I definitely want to show off some of the frame, but I also don't want to paint the bike a super loud color, so that's why I'm going with a grey of some sort. Light enough to still highlight it, but dark enough to keep with the classy look I'm going for.
As for the headlight, I'm still waiting for my brackets to arrive so I can mount it up. I decided to go with a good ol' fashioned 7" round headlight. I played with a ton of different options (LED light bars, projectors, headlights from other bikes, etc.), and I decided that the front end needed a traditional headlight. Once my new brackets arrive, I'll post a pic of the front end with the light on there.

After far too many delays (read: me losing interest for awhile and other "adult" things like work and family taking precedence), the fabrication work is finally done. Now it's time for the ol' girl to come back apart for paint, powercoat, polishing, cleaning, etc. Well, there's still a tiny bit of fab work to be done (need to weld a few tabs on the frame to mount things on), but I can't do it until the bike is torn down.
By the time spring rolls around, this should be a completed bike that I can actually ride on the street legally.
This is pretty much what it will look like, save for a few small items that aren't on the bike in these pics (trim pieces, headlight). The mess of wires above the engine will be hidden away as well.

this build is awesome, can't wait to see it painted and assembled.
changing the back wheel to match the front or keeping it for uniqueness?)
