thats my mk2, and im bottomed out in the front too, it is sitting on the bump stop, but even in the pic there i am almost laying frame, my issue is that my oil pan and frame are lower than my front lip, and i dont want to run a bigger lip.

anyways i love your car, its beater status but not
i like the pictures of it in the snow where it is covered in ice and shit, bet it doesnt help with rust, but i would like to see some snow. it is so rare that we get it down here

Yeah that sucks. can you get higher sitting motor mounts or any other struts compatible with the mk2?

thats what i would be looking at now. your having the same problem i was having in the rear of my car with the shock just sitting at the very bottom. there is no suspension and its terrible. when i hit bridge joints it like JOLTS the hell out of my spine.

i wouldnt exactly call it beater status but its not perfect at all. just a low budget car.

i can make raised mounts, but a lot of people say that if you go more than a 1/2 in spacer you can knock the motor off (they are cup style not capped) the only real way is to solid mount, which im fine with except that vw motors are tall and i will touch the hood after 2in of raise

my solution is trying to sell the car for an older bmw

still half a inch is quite a bit when you start to get lower and lower.

yea, my only issue with that is that after doing it my frame will still be the lowest part of my car

New idea i had for the car is to paint ALL the 8.5's pearl white. then on the barrels paint splatter red/blue on them. and the kidney grills... and the mirrors.

give it more of a Damn thats eight thirty's bmw. feel to it.

                      ideas/opinions?

                        please no...
splatter paint is so mexi, not that im against mexicans, but leave that in in the bad idea pile along with the wing, and putting a fart can on a civic (or anything for that matter)
