  • New car, a year ago. E36 content.

Traded : 1992 318i 184k miles calypso with 4 CEL's RTABS going Front wheel bearing. broken interior. No speakers. i4. Suspension needed to be overhauled.

For: 1992 325i 123,456 miles SwartzII with MAF CEL and the rest i will find out tomorrow when its on the lift. interior was a bit broken but i cleaned it up a bit. radio still needs to be installed. Speedo doesnt work. I dont think the drivers side heated seats work very well. Thats my only complaints ATM. Car included a WHOLE set of brakes, rotors and calipers included. A bunch of spare parts that im going to trash if no one wants. And i received 125$ in the trade.

This is my original post when i got the car. since then i have got a new cluster, fixed the MAF CEL and its had a o2 sensor out since i got the car. since it still gets 25.1 city mileage i havent cared to replace it. Radio is installed, and new drivers side seat.

Let me know waht you think. Im going for a clean but stock look to this car on a low budget and fixing stuff that needs to be fixed, not wasting money on much more than that.

All that while being 1/2 inch off the ground. (thats later)

picture if you dont want to read/look at all that

These are all the pictures of the initial cleaning process i took, you can see how trashed the car looked before i started taking care of it.

Interior shots here some clean ones some dirty... its hard to sort. but im trying my best.

these are some pictures after i got some wheels and painted them the color i wanted.
Still no low and LOTS of wheel gap. haha i cant even belive my car was this high and i thought it looked good.

    Installed a rear spoiler:

thought it looked SO cool.... realized it didnt.

If that's on cut springs it must ride like ass. Just buy some racelands and cut the bumpstops out. But damn it's low. I'm on cut springs and I **** it.

            It actually rides really nice.

I dont bottom out back there at all, throw sparks on the interstate.

i have the rear raised 1.5 inches right now for winter purposes and the ride is MUCH better.

when its as low as i like it it rides right on the bump stops but i tuck rim so idc.

i need someone to give me some old e30 shocks i can throw back there. they have a shorter travel so i can make things happen

next spring im taking the helper spring out up front installing a oilpan protectector and dropping the front an inch

i dont think the lip is going back on in the spring just going to use that spacer to lower more.

So what's your suspension setup exactly? I'm confused.

i am running my front racelands with the helpers in as low as it would goand 25mm spacers with a 7inch wheel and 195 tires.

In the rear im running race land everything. I take everything out except the cut spring no pads no adjusters no nothing. and the shock. for the summer. this results in the shock sitting on the bumpstops. i have no shock you might as well say. and i tuck rim in the rear. more than i have ever seen.

right now with it raised for winter mode i have the cut spring the adjuster and a spring pad with a extra 5mm pad in there. which it being 1.5 inches higher makes the shock actually has room to travel and its comfy. just above tucking rim status

next summer im going to have 8.5 all round on 205/40-17.
25mm spacers up front and 20mm in the rear
e30 rear shocks to have actual usable travel, and helper springs removed up front to go lower.

its hard to organize my thoughts. haha. i hope i did in a fashion you can understand

He's on bottomed out rokkors (same as raceland) and he wants to get the car lower. So he needs to cut out the bumpstops.

He also wants his front lip gap gone haha

looks like he still has the helper spring in there? take that out and it will give 3 inches of more low.

love his headliner. reminds me of mine. haha

hmm weird ive never heard anyone saying race land/rokkors not being low enough. i can literally lay frame if i wanted/could drive.

looks like he needs broadway springs
