any thoughts on spring rate and length to get?

running a 500lb hyperco coils out back. feels good

or did i screw up my rates?

also im rubbing like crazy with the 50 side wall on the inner fenders. the body part of it, and i have already done lots of massaging when i was on 14's. with the weaves i was rubbing on the strut towers themselves. thought about moving the fender wells up higher and cutting off the excess of the pillars- thus giving tons of room, but meh

only problem is that if i have a smaller tire i will loose any clearance i had under the car. rather be rubbing tires than busting the pan again, but they rub hard. so please help with my spring issue

I had 205/45's at first that rubbed like crazy, I had them sitting .25" off the (clearanced) frame rail and I was about .5" from tucking wheel. I switched to 205/40's that let me lower it so I only had .25" before I was tucking wheel, but I only had .25" of ground clearance. 215/40's are the best compromise I've found.

you were running with stretch, no? wouldn't that change how "high" the tire would sit from the lip of the wheel?

Stretch changes the appearance of the sidewall, but it doesn't change the overall height. You could run them on a 6 or a 9.5 and they would still be the same height.

That Jeep is so baddass. Also your car is crazy low, you destroyed that pan so hard. Just need to sort the fitment out and you're golden!

thanks you guys- the car is a lot of fun for me. and honestly its not very bouncy at all for the height it is, maybe its just how i drive it. i donno. The ride quality/ height is very doable and DD friendly if you ask me.

up front, yes my sked is mounted to the core support (has bent up quite a bit, but works for now) eventually will prob get a loop that the plate mounts up to in front that attaches to the frame rails up front. and the rear (before i was slammed) i had it just mount through the rack bolts holes through the sub-frame but the bolt heads always wore off and after i slammed it i went through fresh bolts daily. and i mean daily. went home and had to replace them. drove to my brothers house and had to replace them. but while i was there we decided to move the rear mounting points up the sides of the sub-frame and have the plate "hug" the bottom of the car. works excellently and is easy to install.

-yes the jeep has cadi rear lights. and....

just so i could fly. helped when there was a tree/rock right by you. just put the door straight up! haha

now with the new wheels, man i love these so much! some fun pics as i briefly worked on the fenders. barely turn the wheel and the wheel started to pull the fender from the car. not letting that happen haha

so i "stretched" the front arches so that i can turn lock to lock without pulling off the fenders. not very nice but it works and i was not about to but the 14's back on lol

front is all the way up with the coil-over adjustment. maybe i should set a day aside and drop it all the way down all around and see where it puts me now with these wheels? vote for slammed on 16?

rear almost ate the tire, quickly rolled that lip over without hesitation

at work between the rain cycles

swapped out my ripped up,(but highly comfortable) tan sport interior and swapped in a less ripped, black sport interior + door cards. no interior pics due to the bad weather

i pulled some no brand side skirts off my other e30 that need some love. Thinking about painting them and throwing them on- should hide the ugly body seam rails. all possible when better weather is here

a lot has changed. best told with pictures!

then deemed the unibody to be twisted and if i was gonna do any more body metal work i decided to switch to another shell i had. not as good of paint, but better underneath.

so i decided to half tub the front fenders and tuck some wires while i waited to move everything over, plus build a 327I. Build Pics:

new shell is an 84 325E. out she comes.

                                dirty mess
