Okay now for the updates, not really worthy for your lotion and napkins.
I haven't uploaded all the photos because my connecton is a pita.
But here are the ones that I did upload so far.

Here is the only part of the car that actually looks nice, and you can't even see it. The headliner, my Jefe replaced it awhile back. Off a good car at the local Pick N Pull

      Then the seat removed.

Vacummed all the dirt, and removed carpet. (my reason for that was I didnt want any dirt and dust flying everywhere when taking this 20 something old carpet out)

Then Fender mirrors mocked up, they were "free" at the local picknpull. Couldnt really get a good angle.

Then found some more rust on Passenger side. Yay!

Then started to remove this, im planning on putting bedliner all over the floor panels. What do yall think?

And then i started to remove the foam and plastic covering the dash. It was all cracked anyways.
I'm going for the skeleton of the dash, I'm thinking it will look pretty neat and different, havent really seen anyone do this.

Speaker you're not a leaf, you're drunk get out of here.

I'll post more as I upload photos, thats all I have so far.

The problem will be hiding the wiring and auxiliaries underneath...dash skeletons rarely make any sense outside of a race car.

That is true, but I also plan on leaving the climate controls with vents in the middle and on the sides. Time for a wire tuck lol

I will, which maybe take a while because this car is going to be a learning process on its own also.

                  Update-12/17/12

                  Just a small update.
Here is some more of the dash foam removed.

And if anyone remembers me saying I was going to replace the hood. Here it is i got it off an 83.

This little piece was dented, I think someone was trying to steal it or something inside of it when we had it parked outside, They wouldnt of got anything valuable anyways. So it was rely bugging me and bought a replacement.

How much has been removed from dash and from the floor.

                  How its progressing.

And 104,xxx miles, not so much for an 1980 Datsun.

Thats all that has really been done to it so far, ive been busy working on the z31.
But will have more updates soon hopefully.

                    UPDATE 12/29/12

So small update for anyone who follows....
Got the 83 hood on finally, yes took me like three weeks just to put it on. Dont judge me.
Also thinking about putting on the e-mirrors from my doors to the fenders and that way it'll match the body a little more, and I will have control over them. M U A H AHA ha
Let me know what you think?
And hopefully everyone's had a Happy Holiday.
                    Got ten dollars for christmas.

                      Use the electric mirrors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
That would be nice. Since you are going to have a dash skeleton, you should buy a memory foam mattress topper and some adhesive and make a memory foam dashboard. I've always wanted one of those so I thought I would share hahahaha.

Saw it on another forum and said I should do that would be easier to control then manualy besides running the wires to the fenders.
Thats actually a good idea, bitches love memory foam.

But I wouldn't want to bite your idea man, you should do it, i've never seen that before would be original.

                          Update 1/8/13

Okay so e-mirrors have been pulled and are being measuered. To see where I will mount on fenders,
And steering wheel finally came off. It was being a PITA to remove the center bolt. But now with that off, more dash skeleton work can be achieved.

                            UPDATE! 1/19/13
Wow time goes by fast, its already the 19th WTF!
                            Okay, anyways.
So finally took the time to remove dash skeleton and remove the rest of foam.
Removed wire harness, did some cleaning to it, and only got to primer it, since I go to school at night.

Gave it about 5 coats of rattle can primer.

And now it awaits the black paint.

I was thinking should i go all out and paint it a different color that pops, like sky blue, or electric green, or maybe do a rising sun on it?? Let me know what yall think.

                              Update 2/4/13
So a small update to keep my build alive.
I have been working on more body work recently, betting rid of all surface rust from the body.

I really wish I could weld. Found out the car leaks from around the windshield. And thats what cause the floor panels to haz the cancer also.
