dont worry what people say just build your way, i to have a type3 that i have been building for a while and mine is nothing like the usual. hope you dont mind but heres a couple of pics.

NAPA wouldnt turn drums, trans had some broken axle spacers.

Finally made an order for parts last week that arrived today. Brake rebuild kit and replacement spacers.
Hopefully get the axle pressed together this week and get trans filled and mounted.

This build is so SLOW, very lazy. Finally switched to day shift to help with lack of time on weekends.

Ordered a lot of parts. Sandblasting things Sunday, and putting more of this thing together. Maybe get some pictures for you guys.

Finally got the subframe on the frame.
Most likely going to make a big purchase this weekend to get things rolling.

Still finishing the beam and should have the frame on the subframe tomorrow. Had some problems with my daily that is slowing me down. :/

So I put the frame on jack stands and read to add the subframe to it.

Working in a clustered garage.
I couldn't figure out why there were 4 holes in the plate, referenced the other notchback and found out there are no mounting holes on the pan. Wasn't trying to drill into the pan without being sure I dont need some kind of anchor point.
