  • Well honestly now I'm looking at it as
    In this order
    -lowered 3"
    - v6 or v8 swap
    -try doing tint again
    -rest of the interior stuff (headliner, steering wheel, flooring, etc.)

    • Thats better, best to have a list like that and knock them out of the way one at a time. Makes each part feel like a huge milestone.

      I honestly cannot wait to see both of your trucks all done up.

      • thanks man, I really appreciate it. I cant ether honestly, I need to get working on the c10 again, ive been meaning to drop the front end but just haven't gotten spindles for it. I would like to do the c10 like this
        - front end drop to match the rear
        -29x12.5 tire in rear
        -engine swap?
        -original silver for paint
        -get tickets and look cool as hell while doing it

        • so my dad called for me today and when I got to him he showed me this

          its him chilling by his bug after he lowered it, he said about a week after he lowered it he found a fender flair off of a semi truck so he put it on the front of his bug as a front lip. he said it was so low that it laid on the ground but after a while of it scrapping pavement it just trimmed itself down to where he had a quarter of an inch clearance from his lip. he later sold it to a junk yard because one day he was shoveling snow and he ended up ripping out the trans axle from up under it, just thought I would share it because I think it was pretty damn cool knowing that my dad lowered shit back when gassers and muscle was cool

                          I see up there you were looking for the 3.7 v6 swap.. But.. What size are those engines? Not sure they would fit as much good as a small 302 block.... At first I tough you had a 3slow in the truck but seems like you have the 4 cylinder.. Just build it for turbo and it will smoke a 4L v6 ranger at 5 psi or a 4.6 v8 with lil mods stang at only 10 psi..

                          The only car that ever did destroy me was a brand new sick-ass gt500. Didn't really catch any other thing that wanted to race that was able to follow mine yet.

                          302 are slows but would still be a nice low-budget and somewhat powerful swap.

                          • If you do go with a 302 swap, get some 180 degree headers.

                              Thanks guys and it will be a while before I do anything to the engine so I have quite sometime to think about it. And I got some news wether its good or bad, I have a guy coming to check out the c10 because my dad has always wanted an old ass van and I have sorta lost interest in the c10, it's fun and everything it just takes up room in the driveway and makes me feel bad about myself by not working on it. So if everything goes to plan this dude is gonna get my ol' c10 and I'm gonna get my dad a Chevy van explorer edition. Btw I'm doing hooligan shit to the ranger tonight

                              • so the c10 is gonna be gone by the end of next week, but I know its the right thing todo and I'm gonna go throw down some cash for that van on Monday at least a down payment, pretty stoked

                                I know I went lower than I said but when I had the coils out and everything I just couldn't help myself so I went a lil more than I said but so what. I know it needs spacers and all that but for now im just going to get it aligned then when I get more wheels that look worth a shit i'll worry about spacers and what not then. I should be doing the rear tomorrow, but if not I will next weekend. until then, enjoy!
