Great choice on the wheels and the price is hard to beat. Can't wait to see the outcome.

thanks yall! i might try out the sawblades on it, a buddy of mine has them on his volvo now but im sure he'd let me try them out!

      update:
so the clutch went out a few months back. a buddy of mine came and helped me swap it out and this is what we found..

the clutch disk was installed backwards. no idea how it even worked. the springs were rattling in there and came out in pieces. ridiculous. it sucks bc the disk and pressure plate both look brand new. oh well. i replaced it with a stock clutch and everything went back together perfect. made a strut brace for it and it was running real good. only problem was the clutch wasn't adjusted right so it would slip at anything over 10 pounds of boost. but it ran so it was awesome.

the next day i adjusted the clutch and holy shit. it was perfect. the clutch would hold to redline. at the same time, i turned up the boost to 18psi and put bigger injectors in it. i drove it around all last weekend and it was perfect. so damn fast.

i should have remembered that volvo transmissions suck because this happened

i was driving to work last week and was taking it easy. went fourth to fifth at maybe 50mph and got into boost a little bit and the tranny blew. these things are known for it, but i didn't know it would take that long. now i only have fourth gear. perfect timing, this bitch would blow up three days after we change a clutch. i had been planning on driving the car with the stock transmission while i pieced together a t5 swap over the next few months, but its gonna happen sooner i reckon. not putting those wheels on it, gonna use adapter and tire money for t5 adapter instead.

hopefully in the next week or two, i will have my t5 transmission in my possession. then within two months, i hope to have the car running and driving again.

just sucks to have the car driving for 3 days only to have the whole damn tranny blow up haha.

I find it hilarious that you dropped your brick on bricks for the test fitment.
That said I am slightly dissapointed that you crushed the 7. It looked fairly clean, much cleaner than mine. But everyone's got they're reasons. No chance u still have the adapters for the vette wheels laying around?

I love this car, and I love the way It is built. I'm trying to hard to find a factory turbo car locally. But it looks like I may get stuck with either a low miles DL or a high miles GL.
I will be spending some time in your thread for inspiration.

i have tires! but still no working tranny haha, waiting for my check (just started at a new job...they mail the first three) so i can get a jack with a wider pad, then the tranny is going back in. and then i'll have better pictures.

i went with 185/60/15s. these wheels are too small (imho) to run a lot of stretch, so i wanted to go with a meatier look but still have a little stretch. the car needs to be lower....2 inches up front and one or two in the back. that'll happen once i get the tranny back in, i want to see if it settles some after i drive it. i have SO much motivation right now

Black 240's are so sweet. Car looks great although personally I'm not a fan of the blacked out lights, it looks kind of cheap. What seats are those?

the front lights being blacked out, that was an alcohol-induced mistake haha, i **** how they look haha nothing paint thinner wont fix. the tails, on the other hand, are staying, i love how they look. the seats are either summit or jegs brand, not too sure. they seem to be nicely made and are some of the most supportive non big name brand seats i've sat in.

                          new addition today!

i got my wheels installed finally, in addition to my replacement transmission! i posted these in my build thread, but i've gotten a lot of messages and posts about my wheels, so i figured i'd post it here too.

they're (as far as i know) keystone kelstars. i can't find another set anywhere, so i am stumped. they're 15x7 and the tires are 185/60/15. slight stretch! i have to roll the fenders some more, and make an adjustable panhard bar to even it all out, and i still have to lower it some but dammit man i had to drive it haha. thanks for lookin yall!
