No not yet. Not planning to wet sand it til spring. That was only a week or so after painting it. It looks little better with the wax and things it has now but it really needs wet sanding. Honestly I'm apprehensive about wet sanding having never done it before.

        pretty cool build, nice restoration.

the wheels look a lot better without the centercaps, that is just my opinion though. looks more raw

In person they look a little different. More lows might change your mind tho. Had I not had to spend 10k+ to get where it is now I would have bought some real ccws or other "legit" wheels. What wheels would you suggest? No craigers or torque thrusts haha. Should have bought the car old mustangs are great.

I'm still deciding on that myself. May get some black caps the front has the ugly hub sticking through tho And doesn't look as good.

Thanks! They really do the ones around here are all about jacking their cars up and slapping big ass tires under them. Can't wait til this rapes them on the highway and in the turns

Looks good! Needs to be so much lower...I do know how difficult that is on these cars though.

I have a 65 convertible on cragar ss's. 1" drop springs in the front and some hefty leafs in the rear. Has significant rake.

Well, I can say coilovers aren't the easiest thing ever....http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=52437

Eww Cragars I have 1" drop springs as well. Going to cut a coil and do the UCA drop to get it sorta low until I can afford a Ridetech set up. I dont want to drop it too low static the oil pans on these things are massive and hang down extremely low.

Thats an awesome build! Im probably going with bags rather than coilovers though.

I don't know much about bags though and I want this car to perform well in turns do bags reduce handling?

If you just replace the springs with bags, it probably will handle like a boat.

It might handle better if you go with some thick sway bars and stiff shocks, then have the bags in place of the springs.

Oh ok. I'm going to do some research on what ride tech did to their bagged 69. They use it for autocross

I was going to say look into ride tech. They both do kits for muscle cars. I've seen them a couple times on the Hot Rod Power Tour and they have great products and their cars perform well too. Jegs sells the complete kit in various stages for your model mustang

Thanks. On the hood and roof and deck lid it looks great other than a few specks of dust. The sides have some orange peel but a wet sand and buff and you'd think we paid to have it painted.

Yeah they have some nice kits that are supposed to bolt right in. Would building a 4 link be cheaper than buying one?

I'm not sure, as I've never built a suspension to that magnitude before. But I would think it would be somewhat cheaper if you paid someone to set it up for you, and it wouldn't be as adjustable as bags. The kit from jegs starts around 4k.

You have to have a 4 link setup for the bags in the rear to get rid of the leaf springs. If I got the kit from jegs I'd install it myself. The 4 link itself was 1400 last I checked and if I could build it for half that then I would. Never worked with suspension like that tho so Idk if I have the skill.
